Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman has displayed what he says are two emails from President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer asking for help getting the Trump Tower Moscow project off the ground.

Michael Cohen pleaded guilty on Thursday to lying to Congress about the real estate deal.

Looks like Trump's best bud Putin has stuck a shiv into his back.

But he said at least 5 times before the election that he had no financial dealings in Russia. Maybe he was mistaken.

It will all come out when they get into his finances.

'Collusion? What collusion?'

Asking for help in the exploratory phase of a possible business deal is not "financial dealings".

Trump lied about Russia, multiple times. And in addition to those lies, he told another 20+ misleading claims..."no deals", and other language to imply he has nothing to do with them, while trying to get Trump Tower Moscow off the ground in Russia, with Putin, with VTB, that needed U.S. sanctions lifted to back it...

Trump:
“I have nothing to do with Russia. I never did.”
“There was no talking to Russia. There was no phone calls.”
“I have nothing to do with Russia,” he said. “To the best of my knowledge, no person that I deal with does.”

Putin needs to improve his shiv technique
Cohen last year acknowledged sending the emails to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in January 2016, but said he killed the proposal after talking to Peskov’s office. This week he confessed that he continued to pursue the deal on Trump’s behalf during the heat of the campaign.

Peskov, who is with Putin at an international summit in Argentina, said Saturday, “We told them that the presidential administration isn’t involved in construction projects, and if they are interested in making investments we will be glad to see them at St. Petersburg’s economic forum.”

Correct ... unless you have a link to a contract Trump signed with someone in Russia?!?
Sorry to disappoint you, but a letter of intent is not a financial dealing.

Putin has no use for Trump any longer, he has accomplished his goal of disrupting our country through division and party politics. Now that he has no further use for Trump he's going to stick it to him good and create even more turmoil and division within the U.S. Why would anyone wonder why he and MbS were ecstatic and high-five-ing at the G20? Goal accomplished. Now Trump will have troubles coming not only from Robert Mueller and the FBI, he has Putin to worry about, because he turned on Trump and it's only going to get worse. Played him just like a puppet, no doubt about it.

Well, yes, exactly. What crime?

Lying, lying and more lying. "I am not a crook" will sound so very tame in comparison for decades to come.

What no use for a president of the United States that is your puppet? Or just maybe Trump was never under Putin's control. And Putin accomplished his goal of disrupting or election by meddling by the 16 people that Mueller indicted and didn't involve Trump. Trump has killed over 200 Russians in Iraq and sanctioned Russia and worst of all his policies have led to the US producing more oil and driving world wide oil prices in the $50 range. I once read an article that said Russia's economy is built on $125 a barrel oil. Russia today is hurting because of oil prices that trump helped cause. Also Trump is trying to stop a gas line from Russia to Europe that also hurts Russia. So Trump is not Putin's friend. If he was Putin's friend you would likely see a Trump tower in down town Moscow. There is a reason there is no Trump Tower in Moscow. Trump and Putin aren't friends and have never been friends. .

You're right they aren't friends, but Trump THOUGHT they were. Trump admires one thing, men of power even if they're killers. The reason there's no Trump Moscow hotel is because Putin kept his favorite puppet hopeful that there would be, and used that as leverage. He knew Trump would do just about anything he asked him to do in order to get his name in gold letters on a hotel right in Moscow. Trump severely underestimated Putin but Putin knew exactly what Trump could do for him.

When you say "a letter of intent is not a financial dealing" you are correct in the ordinary sense of how business is transacted in the normal business world. This was not a normal 'deal', this was with RUSSIA , an adversary, a national threat, a country that interfered with a U.S. democratic election and a country that was under U.S. sanctions of the Magnitsky Act. That is a definite NO-NO!

Nice story Bro.:coffeepap For a fiction.

Nice story Bro.:coffeepap For a pulp fiction. So Trump thought by killing hundreds of Russians, sanctioning Russians, and driving oil prices down and trying to stop a Russian gas line to Europe he would somehow curry favor with Putin. R...I...G...H...T. That sounds like pure fiction.

Trump thinks its a good idea for the United States to get along with the power that has more nuclear missiles pointed at the US than any other country. Unfortunately it does not seem like Russia wants to get along with the US.

The Nixionian references never get old.

Trump was always Bottom Boy in his relationship with Putin.

Speaking only for myself, the record was clear that Trump was doing business in Russia, just as he was doing business in Scotland. Doing business there does not mean that Russia stole Hillary's election, nor does it mean Trump does the bidding of Putin. The case is much more certain that Trump does the bidding of Bibi, and so likely Trump makes AIPAC much more happy than he makes Putin.

Trump is a corrupt clown, always has been. That does not make him Putin's ally or servant.

If Trump was Bottom Boy as you suggest. Wouldn't the smart move would have been for Putin to play Trump for cash. Require bribes from Trump let the construction start the require even bigger bribes. Squeeze Trump for $100's of millions. Yet Trump never built anything. Perhaps Trump refused to pay bribes to conduct business.

No, that would be a stupid move. That's why Putin isn't doing it. He's actually smart, unlike Trump.

You really think Putin's ultimate goal would be a bit of cash when he has the POTUS as his Bottom Boy? That makes sense to you, does it?

Is it against the law to talk to anyone in Russia?

Please list the terms of the jail time he has served.

Was Trump the odds on favorite to win the Presidency when all of this was going down?
