Republicans are now bashing each other. Lets just call it the last throes of the party in power.

A staff member in Conrad Burns office thought he was talking to a friend, and did not realize that it was a reporter from Daily Press in Newport News, VA. He lit up the conversation with plenty of expletives, and at one point, he said ""...you can tell Sen. George Allen of Virginia to [vulgarity deleted]."

Geez, and I thought only Cheneyisms were supposed to be directed at Democrats. :rofl.

And why was Burns' aide so nasty? Because, it turns out that Conrad Burns himself was acting like a complete jerk in Virginia, and the paper called his office about it.

Mistake number 1 - Burns acted like a jerk.

Mistake number 2 - Aide mistaking a reporter from Roll Call for a friend.

Mistake number 3 - Aide telling the reporter that George Allen could go <bleep> himself.

Add it up and what do you get? Jerks, thats what.

Lets all watch the Republican party this year, as they kick each other to the curb. It ought to be plenty of fun
