The January 6 committee chair said the panel expects former Vice President Mike Pence to testify

Lets please be adults and talk to the 1/6 Committee! You have nothing to hide and this is a perfect way to prove that. Make us all proud!!!! Always remember what created that assault on 1/6 and allow your patriotism to stand up for what's right. Oh yeah, best to leave any 5ths behind. It's not a good look for those thinking about protecting the guilty. Hope to hear about you holding chat under oath with the panel by the end of this month. Good luck, sir.

Thompson told NPR that the committee is meeting behind closed doors next week where it plans to finalize plans concerning a voluntary request for Pence's appearance.

The announcement comes as the committee zeroes in on Trump's role in the insurrection, as well as his allies, having sent requests to Fox News host Sean Hannity, Rep. Scott Perry, and Rep. Jim Jordan in recent weeks. According to NPR, the committee has already issued more than 50 subpoenas and interviewed 350 witnesses.

Thompson added that the panel hasn't ruled out requesting appearances from other key players in Trump's inner circle, including the former president's daughter Ivanka Trump.

selectively leak and spin his testimony.

Just one more farce from the Un-American democratic committee who
are desperately looking for any kind of mud they can find and then sling it every
direction knowing the press will take it and run with it.

Yes, I hope that Vice President Pence testifies.

He has nothing to hide.

He was a perfect Vice President.

I assume that Mr. Pence has a perfect right to withhold confidential conversations that he had with President Trump.

Testifying before the Committee will be his last hurrah.

Obviously, he does not have enough support to be the '24 candidate.

January 6 is to Democrats what the Reichstag fire was to the Nazis. The parallels are undeniable. In each case it’s a Left Wing authoritarian political party using a mostly false flag incident to grab power and slander their political opponents.
 
I love the Jan 6 committee. They are making it so easy for he republicans to regain the house and then impeach Joe Biden. They have set the precedent for it. They claim Trump was derelict in duty to protect the capital and the members. Well, Biden is derelict in duty to protect Americans and the border. Nothing is more fun than watching the democrats unravel at the seams.
 
I think if the committee subpoenas him, he will show up.
 
Handcuff those subpoenaed and physically drag them before congress.

I don't really think in this case that will be necessary.

Pence was willing to stooge around after Trump, but when he was called upon to act illegally, he wouldn't do it.

I am unsure how cooperative he will be, but I am thinking he will show up.

I think Pence will show up. And I fear for his life if he tries to. He WILL need security.

Since Mr. Pence has absolutely zero political future left (and isn't really interested in casinos, golf courses, grabbing females by the *****, or selling self-promoting merchandise that is made in China [and Mr.Trump's supporters have already threatened to kill him]) he really doesn't have much to lose - does he?

You do realize that the Reichstag fire was NOT started by the Nazis or anyone associated with them, don't you?

However, since the record shows that the Reichstag fire was started by a delusional and mentally sub-par individual, there is, indeed, some similarity between it and the 06 JAN 21 events.

I'm very aware that a Dutch national Communist started the fire. How the Nazis used the event to slander and victimize all their political opposition and take total control was a travesty.

I'm very aware that many of the most violet leaders and instigators of Jan 6 are being given a pass and even protected by the FBI. The only logical conclusion is that they were on the payroll. How the Democrats are attempting to use the event to slander and victimize all their political opposition is a travesty.

It could be argued that the Reichstag Fire was not a false flag, it's getting harder every day to say the same about Jan 6. But either way: the way the Nazis used Reichstag and the way Democrats ate using Jan 6 is identical.
