The irony of Michelle Obama.

I suppose.....like everyone else in politics, or in any way connected to the White House who became overnight authors, Trump just have to be in Michelle's book!

So she goes around promoting her new book. The media took some of her pot shot at Trump (of course)....and quoted her statement about him. However.....this one about her worrying about the safety of her kids, makes me scratch my head.

Trump's questioning Obama's birth is OLD NEWS!
Didn't Trump reluctantly agree in 2016, that Obama was born in the USA?

So, why's Michelle bringing this up again?

Lol. What if someone with an unstable mind happen to see her in the news today (promoting her book), and see her being quoted in various media? She's in every news channel! I've seen her quoted statement below, twice, in just an hour!

Michelle Obama Trashes Conservatives Who Support Trump as “Wing Nuts and Kooks”

Stephanopoulos noted, before reading a quote from the book released to the press where she claims Trump would’ve inspired a shooter to target her family:

[A]nd she wrote, ‘What if someone with an unstable mind, loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk and for this I’d never forgive him.’

Of course, supporters of Dems had all exclaimed WOW! and Bravo!
Anyone who bought into her drama have missed something.......of course.

What if that person went looking for our girls?

Didn't she just give them an idea? bringing up an old issue (which didn't have any kook come looking for her girls).....

If a kook comes looking for her girls now, where do you think that seed of idea came from - Trump or Michelle?

MICHELLE! doh?

We see a lot of political loonies coming out recently compared to 2016. And yet, here she comes out now
- with her book!

Michelle's more interested to promote her book, and looks like using Trump......... and, her girls...... to sensationalize her book, doesn't give her any concern for their safety.

Talk about crap.

You sure took the bait on that one.

The entire OP article is basically a complaint about the media, and as such right wing commentary have all collectively decided it is today's reason to be outraged.

I didn't get the news from that article. I saw it on tv - twice, in an hour!
She's also with Oprah Winfrey.

I simply used that article to get the written quote that I heard on tv.

I'm reacting to her baloney!
She's peddling her book, and by mentioning her daughters for sensationalism, she's putting
her own girls at risk!

She's low class. When they go low, we go high, huh? What kind of First Lady would speak like that of a sitting president? I have never heard any First Lady speak about another President negatively. The Obama's are narcissistic assholes.

Mrs.Obama also "conveniently forgets" that it was THE CLINTONS who introduced the BIRTHER idea....not Trump.

She claims Trump causes her fear, all the while her husband gutted our military and fueled the flames of division in our country.

The clinton's never did such a thing and King Trumptard is the one who ran with it for YEARS AFTER a birth certificate was produced. You left that part out conveniently because it shows what a douche-bag Trumptard really is. Do you always get your talking points from your master Trumptard?

I've never seen a idiot like Trumptard attack a sitting president saying he was illegitimate and not an American citizen like Trumptard did. But of course you support Trump no matter what he does. Pathetic, but then Trump supporters are not known for their honesty.

No, from the ACTUAL FACTS as they happened:

“The idea of going after Obama’s otherness dates back to the last presidential election — and to Democrats,” Bloomberg News reported. “Long before Trump started in, Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist, Mark Penn, recognized this potential vulnerability in Obama and sought to exploit it.

In a March 2007 memo to Clinton (that later found its way to me), Penn wrote: ‘All of these articles about his boyhood in Indonesia and his life in Hawaii are geared toward showing his background is diverse, multicultural and putting it in a new light,’ he wrote. ‘Save it for 2050. It also exposes a very strong weakness for him — his roots to basic American values and culture are at best limited. I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and his values,’ ” Bloomberg reported.

Although Mr. Penn never suggested bringing up Mr. Obama’s birth certificate as a strategy to exploit this weakness, he did suggest Mrs. Clinton include a line in every speech saying that she was “born in the middle of America to the middle class in the middle of the last century.”

But that doesn’t stand in the way of the mainstream news media trying to rewrite history.

Brian Stelter, the media columnist at CNN retweeted a “props” to Ms. Reid on confronting Mr. Scott, as well as to himself for confronting Sean Hannity on Mrs. Clinton’s health issues. He then attached a blog post. The post was titled: “Memo to News Media: Consumers Crave Truth, Not Balance.”

To whose truth are we talking? Apparently, only the one the Clinton team has signed off on.

Another right wing attack on somebody they perceive to be an uppity black woman who does not know her obvious place.

Talk about crap.

Michelle Obama wasn't paid $65 million to to pen some Rockwellian meets Martha Steward tome. She was paid to body slam Trump because that's what sells. Oh, sure it's nice to hear about how she and Barack met and their first kiss and....snore.
MO is delivering controversy and lots of fist bumps to the haters of Trump and his family.

As to thinking that Trump put her family in danger, it is a worry that anyone in politics takes nowadays, and it takes incredible tone deafness when Trump's 11-year old boy was threatened with being put in a cage by a pedophile.

She's low class. When they go low, we go high, huh? What kind of First Lady would speak like that of a sitting president? I have never heard any First Lady speak about another President negatively. The Obama's are narcissistic assholes.

And hypocrites of the highest order. For all of Obama's socialistic, globalistic espoused views, the Obamas are capitalists of the highest order.
I also think it's beyond tacky and yes, low class. I can't imagine any prior FLOTUS attacking a sitting President.
Can you imagine Laura Bush going around saying how inelegant it was that Michelle Obama gave her a gift upon being greeted at the White House?

She claims Trump causes her fear, all the while her husband gutted our military and fueled the flames of division in our country.

This is just plain stupid.

- Obama did not "gut" the military. The military has been plenty fed since 2004; and the Defense Industry is a bloated black hole of absurd contracts.

- Obama absolutely did not fuel the flames of division in this country. For this division nonsense, you need to look to three decades of exponential GOP extremist rhetoric, which actually started with Newt Gingrich. This evolved into the Young Guns program of 2008 which made it a matter of documented policy to not cooperate with Democrats or Obama on a single thing, establishing the Republican Party moniker "The Party of No." "Birther" conspiracies and Tea Party extremism centered around Obama being a "Kenyan-born Muslim" and "domestic terrorist sympathizer" as they pushed and prodded conservatives further towards the far-right as right-wing media outlets brainwashed conservatives into an irrational mental state where only they defined America and "the left" was their mortal enemy.

So, what did we see in 2016? We saw the average conservative betray his/her long-held traditions, ethics, and ideologies (especially Christians) so that he/she could cheer along side white supremacists and Nazi wannabes who liked a silver-spooned elitist "birther" who denigrated American POWs, the handicapped, women, and family while delivering seething and hateful remarks towards rival politicians, the media, and our democratic system. Obama's only part in this years-created division was that he was black.

And, by the way, want some irony? One of the minds behind the stubborn and obtuse Young Guns program was Paul Ryan. His type of hard core politics, as if at war with an enemy for eight long years, helped to produce the uncontrolled mob of 2016. Paul Ryan is one of the last Republicans in the GOP that has openly tried to defy Trump's nonsense and more retarded polices off and on. Political radicalism gave birth to political extremism. And this is where the division came from. Obama fueled nothing. He was on the other side of this crap.

Sure you did, you saw former First Lady and presidential candidate Hitlery Klinton start the narrative about Obama being from Kenya.

So in other words, Clinton NEVER said anything about Obama's birth like I said. You post so much and only prove my point. Thank you for proving me right that Clinton didn't start the birther bull****. Only a Trump supporter could post a lie and then make their opponents point all at the same time. :lamo

Sure you did, you saw former First Lady and presidential candidate Hitlery Klinton start the narrative about Obama being from Kenya.

She did no such thing and that has been a common RWNJ lie.

Another right wing attack on somebody they perceive to be an uppity black woman who does not know her obvious place.

No. I don't like the racist, Michelle Obama, who has never been proud of America. I don't look at her as an uppity black, says a lot about your thinking though. Any First Lady that doesn't put her hand on her heart for national anthem, while first freaking lady, doesn't deserve my respect.

Believe what you want, I am not trying to convince you otherwise. And Paul Ryan? Screw him.

Your knee jerk reaction tells me I hit it out of the park over the center field fence.
