A writer at the Daily Beast is thumping his chest over the idea that Democrats would never nominate anyone like Trump, and they ought to be proud of that fact, he thinks.

I don't know, he maybe has a point. Would the Democrats ever nominate "an authoritarian president from a wealthy background with roots in the New York political scene and a penchant for getting tough with immigrants? I just can’t see it myself."
