The Hollowness of "Pro-Life"

You made a claim about something being "hollow." We have to establish a standard for what that means, or why it matters.

I imagine there are many beliefs you hold that require no "heavy lifting." It certainly doesn't take any intelligence or commitment to call practically everyone who disagrees with you a "Nazi." Who cares?

Calling names, which requires no effort, is not the same thing as claiming a belief that that requires no effort to defend or to promote. A pro-life advocate will occasionally make scathing remarks about women but that comes effortlessly. The only requirement is that they get out and vote for the candidate that also claims to be pro-life who will then do the heavy lifting of creating anti-abortion, anti-1st amendment, anti-women, anti-poor people, anti-Democratic, pro-theocracy legislation.

Why does it matter? Whether or not effort is required is totally irrelevant to whether a belief is valid. The typical "pro-life" position is wrong, but not because of that.

It takes no effort for you to believe it's wrong for people to murder their toddlers because they take up too much space and eat too much. That is, unless you're suggesting that you are willing to adopt them. Are you? Or does your believe in something so basic "ring hollow."

The bold is a deliberately dishonest attempt to equate fetuses with born people. It does go a long way to proving you have no argument though. After all, when all you have is a lie, you got nothing.

How many times will you reveal your total lack basic reading comprehension before you get truly embarrassed? The only lie here is that I "equated" anything to anything else, especially when I said this right after saying that the pro-life position is wrong. Pro-life people believe that they are essentially equal. If you want to refute their position, refute that. It's completely idiotic and hypocritical to challenge their belief the way you did, when you obviously don't hold yourself to the same standard for your own beliefs.

Do you really think I need an actual argument to respond to your nonsense? That's cute.
