280 million people in the U.S. (US TV Network)

Thats not true, the US total population is 295,000,000. And of those 250,000,000 speak english. So 280,000,000 is improbable. And even if there was 280,000,000 engish speaking people they all dont listen to fix trust me I know. None of my neighborhood even likes Fox news and never watches it. The common favorite is CNN.

However I will give you some more facts to feed on. Read this..

http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=2005

Again I need infallible facts gentlemen. There you will find that Fox news at even its highest of peak viewing hours is during The Factor and that only brings in about 3,000,000 the most. And total regular viewers is at about 25,000,000. CNN is at almost 49,000,000. I think we all can do math here.

Since you, cnredd, feel the need to re-post #2, I've decided to re-post #7 which you seem to want to avoid. Probably because the media is not liberal at all. If it is, then answer my questions. What are you afraid of!?

When it comes to describing the press, twice as many say news organizations are “liberal” (51%) as say they are “conservative”
(26%), while 14% say neither phrase applies. This was also
the case in surveys conducted in the mid-to-late 1980s and, not surprisingly, there is a significant partisan cast to
these perceptions. Republicans see the press as more liberal
than conservative by nearly three to one (65% to 22%).
Among independents, the margin is two to one (50% to 25%).
And while a third of Democrats say there is a conservative tilt to the American press, a slight plurality (41%) says the
press is more liberal than anything else.

Last year’s survey of journalists seemed to confirm many of the suspicions of those who see a liberal bias in the news. Most journalists characterized themselves as moderates, but as a group they are far
more liberal — and far less conservative —than the general public. Just 7% of the national journalists surveyed called themselves conservatives, compared with 33% of the public. And while 34% of national journalists characterized
themselves as liberals, just 20% of Americans describe themselves as liberals.

Journalists generally say they take it as their professional obligation not to let
their own political and ideological leanings — liberal, moderate or
conservative — shape their coverage. But the relatively small number of
conservatives in journalism raises concerns over the potential for liberal
group-think in the nation’s newsrooms.

No such thing as a liberal media, flame-boy! If there was:

How come we don't see all the coffins coming back from Iraq?
How come we don't hear anything about the World Tribunal on Iraq?
How come we didn't hear about the millions of protests around the world objecting to the invasion of Iraq?
How come we don't see the devestation that we inflicted in Fallujia?
How come we don't see all the soldiers killing innocent Iraqi's at check points?
How come we don't see the cluster bombs being dropped in urban areas?
How come we don't see the Iraqi children getting cancer from our use of depleted uranium munitions?
How come we don't see the only working hospital in Fallujia that we hit with a 500 pounder?
How come we don't see all the outrage the world has towards the United States because of Bush's foreign policy?
How come we don't see more specials like the one on CNN recently that spelled out all of the Administrations lies, half-truths and disinformation that is spewed out at the public on a regular basis?
How come we don't hear about the fact that Bush has not attended one single GI funeral in this entire bullshit, cowardly war?
How come we don't hear that this is the most cowardly war ever started by a foreign power?
How come we don't hear that Halliberton should be banned from recieving contracts in Iraq because of a clear conflict of interest with the Vice-President?
How come we don't ever hear about all of the desertions?
How come we don't ever hear why we don't keep count of Iraqi dead?
How come we don't ever hear about why we would join the UN and not follow their rules for which we are a signatory too?
How come we don't ever hear about us condemning the UN because it would not back us in Iraq?
How come we don't hear about the 10 year olds that are being tortured in front of their fathers (to force them to talk) at Abu Grhaib?
How come we don't hear about all the lame excuses people go to defend Bush?
How come we don't ever hear you apologizing for your proliferation of hatred and division in regards to the human race?
How come we don't ever hear you admit fault with anything?
How come we don't ever see any signs of you having a soul?

And now, a word from our sponsor....Hanky Whites!

It's posts like these that make you look like an a*s*s, and it's posts like these that are the reason why poll was started to have you kicked off the site. Try not be so irritating. I already told you thank you a couple of days ago in a PM for that link. Has it slipped you mind already?

Please be nice to each other. This post does absolutely nothing for the debate and belongs in the basement.

Thanks,

I agree that some of the media enterprisers may in fact be leaning towards the left, but I could say the exact oppositte. In the end, even the liberals have to say what their superiors tell them.

If you think I'm gonna have to defend your little "Conservative Media" by playing 21 questions with anyone, least of all you, you're insane...which is not far off...

We are at a standstill...

I won't answer questions from YOU because I don't believe YOUR ascertation that the media is NOT Liberal....

And you won't acknowedge PEW REASEARCH'S 2004 NON-PARTISAN Survey which ascertains that the media IS Liberal....

We'll let the folks on this forum decide for themselves...:2wave:

Thats not true

I got my information from the documentary "Outfoxed" If you have a problem with it's validity, I suggest you take it up with the director, Robert Greenwald. Or try to prove me wrong.

Rupert Murdoch reaches:

280 million people in the US (US TV Network)

Also, If the media had any real dominating "libearal bias" Ralph Nader would be president NOT BUSH !!!

Don't speak for me. I've never trashed any source you have ever mentioned. If you think I did, prove it, by giving the post for which this occured.

You and I know the real reason why you won't answer my questions. But its OK, to run away, killer rabbit, killer rabbit....

You said earlier that Fox news alone bings in 280million viewers in the US. The you changed it to the us tv network. Anyhow, the argument isnt whether or not the network brings in 280million viewers I am not doubting that is does. Infact I am pretty sure it does. However, what I am arguing with you about is that the whole network isnt solely conservative. I only saw 3 credible channels that were conservative the rest were all liberal biased. Now is there a disagreement on that statement?

I disagree, because you have not provided:

a) specifics OR b) sources

Quit being so vague, I thought you knew better!

Likewise my friend. But anywho if you want specifics here they are. As I have already posted a link on the other thread please read allof that then come to me about that same statement. Cause basically I will tell you whats out of there.

You guys are so full of ****. If there was not a neocon bias in the media bush would not be president. He stole the election and no body reported it.
You all claim liberal media, what liberal owns them or is a ceo of the said companys. You wont find em. If you do it will account for less than 30% of the media Radio and TV.

WOW. You actually made me laugh (seriously)... I didn't think you could do it. But, you did. Now if Skills could just his act together!

What is there to get? Please tell me why you think I dont have it together?

Wait a kinute wasnt the real discussion about impeaching Bush? Whatever happened to that topic?

Ok so lets stop getting off tangeant and get back to the real discussion at hand here.

When we last left, Ban electoral would rather impeach Bush and have Chenney in office. Now I said what would this prove? And how would this do any good on the present and even future situation?

OK Skills, I DID give you SPECIFICS, when I presented FACTS about Rupert Murdochs EMPIRE. Murdoch represents conservative corporate interest. So, he has 3/4's of the world at his disposal. And 100% of America is covered. I don't know of a single "liberal" of even a combined "liberal" media conglomerate that could ever hope to compete. HOWEVER, for purposes of argument I did some reading on other posts about the media, and who thought what was biased. Here are some potential MYTHS/FACTS to discuss:

LIBS:

CBS
CNN
MSNBC
BBC
NPR
PBS (reforming?)
Air America

CONS:

FOX

CENTER:

News Max
FNC

Tell me what you think about this list, and what needs to be added. Thank you.

Wow, you even suprised me. That was a very good list. :2razz: I am very happy and your right myth/fact.

However, I would just add to the liberal side NBC(although MSNBC is kinda the same concept NBC is still another channel). Also to the conservative side I would add KUSI. To the liberal I would also add ABC. But for the most part I agree with yu
