ok, I don't defend extremists, no but I defend this kind of overly invasive intrusion into someone's life without a warrant.
 
I can see why some conservatives would have issue with this, considering many of these games have turned into a useful recruitment tool into right wing ideology.
 

Good. If people publicly express an unironic intention to commit acts of violence in the real world, they should be criminally investigated, and I do not care where they happen to express their views. It can be on a street corner, an internet message board, or the chatroom of a online multi-player video game.

The problem with that is that there is no real Constitutional right to privacy anymore except at a state level. Further, there is no reasonable expectation of privacy on a gaming platform, any more than there is if someone posts their murder manifesto on Facebook or Twitter or here. These are not private conversations, like a phone call, or having a discussion in the privacy of your home.

It is imperative to teach one's children that anything they say in public (including on the internet and in online game chatrooms) can and will be used against them both in their social and professional life as well as in a Court of law if they rub shoulders with Neo-Nazis or ISIS. You should always be mindful of the company your kids keep.

If you play games where you violently murder other people while verbally fantasizing/joking about murdering real people you deserve to get a visit from the government.
 
and how many millions of non Nazis and non ISIS collaborator's privacy did they have to invade to find that small sample of people?
