The fear of judgement

They say not to mix politics and religion...but doesn’t the fear of judgement creep into politics? When Trump says “get rid of the ballots” is not That the same as saying “get rid of democracy “ ? In politics judgement is rendered by the ballot box. There seems to be a strong fear of being judged. Can this be a base fear of both politics and religion? Or is this fear something that many people simply do not share ?
 
Voting is anonymous so there aren't riots at ballot places.
