http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly_effect
The butterfly effect is a phrase that encapsulates the more technical notion of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory. Small variations of the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system. This is sometimes presented as esoteric behavior, but can be exhibited by very simple systems: for example, a ball placed at the crest of a hill might roll into any of several valleys depending on slight differences in initial position.
Now if this is true.Is very possible that all the tall buildings, monuments and so on have severe effect on the enviroment?
"One meteorologist remarked that if the theory were correct, one flap of a seagull's wings could change the course of weather forever."
If this true then all the buildings being proped up could be blocking the wind and diverting currents and in the run long thus causing a change in weather.
If I built a 300ft high that was ten miles long would agree that this might have some effect on the enviroment such as diverting wind currents?
Then what about for example a city Newyork's size ?One could say that all those office buildings and sky scrappers together is like a small mountain diverting wind currents and that all these large massive sities is like having a plinko boardeffect, instead of the wind having a striaght path it is having to go around and or over large city buildings and monuments?
So what are thoughts?
