The difference betweeen those who have gotten the vaccines and those who refuse

Russell Westbrook Threatens Heckler at Utah Game | PEOPLE.com

Vaccines or damaged lungs or death. Sounds traumatic ....... it is.

Not sure I entirely agree. I got the vax as soon as possible, mainly because I have risk factors and wanted to not-die and all that. There are people who depend on my continued presence here.

It's mostly a misinformed tantrum for freedumb. However, they are dry brush for the wildfire, so it it isn't just about their bad decisions.

A minor infection in an unvaccinated person can lead to much more dire consequences for an infant, someone who cant get the vaccine, someone getting chemo, etc etc.

Infections in the unvaccinated lead to more infections, period...which lead to the potential for more variants to evolve.

What is it that you disagree with?

(Edit: sorry, you were the only one who responded with any rational ambiguity so far 🤷 Response is open to anyone.)

For those who have gotten the vaccines it is all about "us". For those who refuse to be vaccinated it is all about "me".
Bull, it's a decision made by individuals about what is best for them in their opinion. If you really believe what you posted you have no understanding of people at all. But then, I bet you are a democrat so it's understandable you have bought into the liberal socialist BS I suppose.

What you just said is exactly what I have written. You just said it is all about what is best for "them/me". Those who get the vaccine do it not only for themselves, but for all others. So they are thinking about us rather than just me. And what I wrote shows I do know about people and what you wrote shows you know little. The American public, but especially those who support Trump are all about me, me and only me. And no, I am not a Dem or a GOPers, although I used to vote more for GOP candidates, but no longer. I am an independent who has a brain that still works, so I am against Trump and the Gop which wants only members of its party to be able to vote. To anyone with a brain they can see that the GOP has become the party of fascists.

No, that wasn't my point. I'm aware that being vaccinated aids others and consider that a benefit. My point was that getting vaccinated isn't always altruism, a lot of times the main motivation is not wanting to get sick and/or die.

That seems to ignore the reason you gave, that "There are people who depend on my continued presence here."

LOL I was going to write that too.

And yes...IMO that's THE main motivation in most cases. It was for me.

But I guess there wasnt enough context in your post and I just left it out. My bad.

OP’s premise isn’t political, it’s patriotic.

No surprise a butt hurt loser Trump supporter doesn’t recognize altruistic thoughts/actions. ;)

Lord Fauci told us the vaccine was safe.

What happens in 5-6 years if the vaccine ****s up people's immune systems or we develop other DNA related issues.

Will you be so pompous then?

And before you even go there.......I took both my shots.

You do realize that this kind of vaccine has been studied for over 20 years. That is why it took only three days for the Moderna vaccine to be completed. Maybe they would have found any such problems in twenty year do you think?

So what's the alternative "for the country?"

Should The Donald not have encouraged that accelerated rollout and approval? Should Biden not be encouraging the population to get vaccinated in order to bring the pandemic closer to an end?

It's proving to save lives NOW, since 99% of those now being hospitalized with serious illness/dying are unvaccinated.

What would your plan have been?

I am saying that I can understand the "wait and see" crowd, and I don't feel the need to compare them to human trash like many of the idiots here on DP are compelled to do.

And, it's not all Trumpists that are refusing the shot at this point either.

The mandatory flu shots in the Navy used to really knock my ass out for 2-3 days , so I can see why some people can be reluctant.

Your a virologist now?

I took my shots regardless.

"Wait and see" 5 years? Dear lord.

Got any stats on that? Look at the states with the highest #s now? Red. And they even admit it, proudly.

And adults can understand the short-term pain vs long-term protection aspect and act accordingly. We do lots of unpleasant things in life because it's still the best decision. See: other vaccinations, giving birth, surgical procedures, etc.

How many thousands of so called "amnesty" people have been set loose in the country this year without vaccinations.

Liberals are ****ing hypocrites
