The greatest threat to our civilization is to become so ass-puckeringly afraid of bad people that we turn into a society that imprisons innocent people simply for worshiping the wrong god, one that spies on its own people under the guise of "keeping us safe," one that applauds heavy-handed police tactics against people (largely minorities) who apparently "had it coming."
