The democrat destruction of this country via the welfare system!!!

So why does the left do every thing they can to stop the right from trying to change where it is best for corporations to invest?

Most of the time, that plan comes with what amounts to corporate welfare. You know, things like subsidizing the cost of building or elimination of property taxes. Why is that somehow a good thing, but taking care of the worst off among us is to be frowned on?

We need heavy tariffs so that it is better for them to build here than China and elsewhere.

In the end, its the consumer who ends up eating those costs. It won't solve anything, and will probably make shit worse. As long as they can sell thier products worldwide, it will still be cheaper for them to make shit elsewhere, and if they lose the American marketplace, oh well. Other places will pick up the slack.

We need to stop illegal immigration so supply and demand wages come back into play.

Some of the worst offenders talk out of both sides of thier mouth. They bitch about illegal immigrants, all while hiring them because they don't cost as much as an American worker, as they really have no recourse if they are treated like shit in the workplace. So spare us the bullshit. Hell, immigration could be basically stopped with one simple change.....employers willingly stop hiring them. With no incentive to come here, they would stop almost immediately. That, of course, would require employers to be willing to let go of thier readily available source of cheap labor. It actually ties back into your previous point.....by using illegal labor, they get to make products here and avoid the tariffs you want to see and at the same time, get the benefit of "outsourced" labor.

Ah yes the revisiting of the old republican saw from the Reagan days: "the welfare recipients have all the money"

Under the new law, most able-bodied welfare recipients must find some type of work within two years after they start collecting welfare or lose benefits. The law also limits welfare receipt during an adult's lifetime to five years.

Are we done now? Can we put this one to bed for oh say another 35 years when it will come back like a plague of locusts?

Oh and just welfare recipients didn't have all YOUR money in the mid-80's.....they don't have it now.

So we tell you that leftist filth are destroying this country. Here is an example.

“This is how Blue states remain blue, buying votes by making people dependent. It should also be noted that states have authority over the minimum wage and we don't need a federal mandate

The Cato Institute released an updated 2014 study (original study in 1955) showing that welfare benefits pay more than a minimum wage job in 33 states and the District of Columbia .

Even worse, welfare pays more than $15 per hour in 13 states.

According to the study, welfare benefits have increased faster than minimum wage. It's now more profitable to sit at home and watch TV than it is to earn an honest day's pay.

Hawaii is the biggest offender, where welfare recipients earn $29.13 per hour, or a $60,590 yearly salary, all for doing nothing.

Here is the list of the states where the pre-tax equivalent "salary" that welfare recipients receive is higher than having a job:

1. Hawaii : $60,590

2. District of Columbia :$50,820

3. Massachusetts : $50,540

4. Connecticut : $44,370

5. New York : $43,700

6. New Jersey : $43,450

7. Rhode Island : $43,330

8. Vermont : $42,350

12. Oregon : $34,300

13. Wyoming : $32,620

14. Nevada : $29,820

15. Minnesota : $29,350

16. Delaware : $29,220

17. Washington : $28,840

18. North Dakota : $28,830

19. Pennsylvania : $28,670

20. New Mexico : $27,900

21. Montana : $26,930

22. South Dakota : $26,610

23. Kansas : $26,490

24. Michigan : $26,430

25. Alaska : $26,400

26. Ohio : $26,200

27. North Carolina : $25,760

28. West Virginia : $24,900

29. Alabama : $23,310

30. Indiana : $22,900

31. Missouri : $22,800

32. Oklahoma : $22,480

33. Louisiana : $22,250

34. South Carolina : $21,91”

Paying people more money on welfare than the average job would bring promotes the use of welfare. Yet another reason why liberalism is a mental disorder.

So, do you want those people making next to nothing??? Spending nothing??
Welfare should cover the bare minimum to sustain life. If you won’t work, technically it’s like a dog that won’t hunt, you should die. Since we are a caring civilized country we should cover be basics till such time as you stop being a lazy piece of crap parasite and begin to care for yourself.

Never should a bum, a parasite, a cancer, be compensated as much or more as a hard working person. It’s an insult and a crime.

To right wingers, it's very important to punish poor people.
How is it punishing poor people? The work is being done by others, taken, and given to poor people. Seems you have your shit mixed up.

In the progressive tax system the harder I work the larger the punishment levied against me. It’s that simple. The poor are treated like Julius Cesar. They don’t do shit and have OPM handed to them. Get the **** outta here with your nonsense that poor peeps are punished lol.

Or at least it should be, but then there's the curious case of MAGA-loving, millionaire many times over, good ole Mississippi boy Brett Favre.

“On July 24, 2017, a meeting was held at USM. In attendance were Favre, (then-Mississippi Department of Human Services Director) John Davis, Teddy DiBiase, Nancy New, USM Athletic Staff and other MDHS and MCEC officials,” MCEC’s filing continues, pointing to Exhibit 2, a photo of the group at The Rock, USM’s football stadium.

“Supposedly, this was the first time Favre asked MDHS for funding for his Volleyball Facility. Yet, MDHS, on the spot, committed $4 million in TANF funds for construction of the Volleyball Facility.”

The filing directs readers to Exhibit 3, showing a text message Favre sent New at 5:10 p.m. later that day: “Nancy thank you again!!! John mentioned 4 million and not sure if I heard him right. Very big deal and can’t thank you enough. 😊

I'm not even gonna bring up all the nefarious actors who crawled out of the woodwork when Trump/Mnuchin unveiled PPE. Republicans are the biggest recipients of welfare. They love it. They just don't like it when poor Black and Brown people actually get it to keep the lights on instead of their volleyball facilities or whatever scam they're running at the moment.

I think Biden's immigrants have already taken all the houses. If you are white, you might be welcome on Martha's Vinyard though.

Are they taking your house right now?

Yes, products will cost more, instead of the insanely cheap and unreliable ones we by now. So, you are being lead to ruin by following the lower proces, instead of demanding we have more higher paying jobs here.

The is projection and BS.

Nobody is buying votes. This is what the right says when they lose an election. That and "it was rigged".

These are typical right-wing lies. Welfare doesn't pay most people ANYTHING. Most people get food stamps and a medical insurance. The right doesn't like this because they would rather watch people die than see them get the care they need. These are the same people who claim to be Christians. Their actions prove they are not.

Nobody... NOBODY gets a salary from welfare. This is, at worst an absolute lie, at best a big misunderstanding.

What happened during the COVID outbreak, where people got unemployment and a bonus, was designed to help people who could not work due to a shutdown.

Meanwhile, I do not hear you righties crying about scum like Joel Osteen getting millions in PPP loans (which they are not entitled to have because they are not taxpayers). Even worse, you righties say nothing when those loans are written off.

The hypocrisy of the right is overwhelming.

You need to see the whole situation.

I see the situation perfectly fine. I'm not the one sitting here acting like its not Republicans who openly bitch when people bring up raising wages....as if that is somehow a bad thing.

Heres the thing.....yes, products are going to cost more....way more.....like more, as a percentage, than the increase in wages the employers might begrudgingly end up agreeing to. That has always been the point. The very thing you are complaining happens is the threat we hear whenever anyone talks of raising wages....that companies will just find the labor cheaper anyway. Since that is apparently the only way they know how to negotiate, I say **** em....enforce a significantly higher wage standard and then watch them die off when they raise prices so high nobody can buy thier shit.

I am perfectly fine with paying more for a quality product. That said, what I am NOT willing to do is pay more for the same cheap shit just because you made it here. I am also not okay with them expecting American workers to come in and do the job for the near slave wages they are paying overseas.

Imagine living in a plutocracy and thinking it's the poor people stealing from you.
I have seen it relatively often. Generally, it's people who have voluntarily pissed unions away (or support those who have) and think that their problems are caused by people on food stamps. The rich have done an excellent job of manipulating the working class to look down the socioeconomic ladder to find the sources of their problems.

I think the point is they are making more than some people that work.

That you don't find a problem with that is an even more salient point.

Consider this.....welfare DOESN'T provide anywhere NEAR enough money to consider it a salary in any way, shape or form. 526 bucks a month doesn't go real far (at least thats what it pays in my state....YMMV). Now couple that with what you typed above, and tell me where the real problem is.....with the person trying to get by, or with the employer who is paying wages that makes your above statement true?

Also remember this.....welfare doesn't cover the cost of housing, so someone getting that 526 bucks a month could be taking it to a car they are living in or worse.

The real point is that they quite likely AREN'T making more than people that work, and if they ARE, what does that say about those employers? I mean really....if you are working a job and not bringing in more than 6K a year, you are getting absolute ****ed, and I would venture to call your employer a slaver.

Your stereotyping destroys your credibility.......

It is a great nation that takes care of it's disadvantaged.......

The destruction of this country via the welfare system!!!

For Example:
Bailing out big banks

What say you about people who are working full time jobs and STILL qualify for welfare? Would you consider that a problem with the employer and not the worker? See, not everyone one welfare isn't working, and generally when that point gets brought up, it kinda dismantles the typical conservative BS that everyone on welfare is a lazy piece of crap. Over 80% of SNAP eligible households have one or more able adults working. So you wanna bitch about the 1 in 5, be my guest, but that says nothing about the 4 in 5 who are working at a job that doesn't even pay them well enough NOT to need government assistance.

That is what we call corporate welfare....you know, when the government subsidizes an employer being cheap by making up the difference between the slave wage they are paying and what would get the employee to a base living standard.

Never should a bum, a parasite, a cancer, be compensated as much or more as a hard working person. It’s an insult and a crime.

The real crime is being able to pay someone so poorly that they still need government assistance after working for you.

Federal government should neither tax individuals nor subsidize State/local governments.
We might begin to find solutions if we were to concentrate on governance issues with intent to find lasting solutions.
How do you propose to fund the Federal government?

You mean taxing the populace and having the House appropriate monies accordingly?
I mean exactly what the Constitution provided prior to passage of the 16th amendment.
IMO, we could begin resolving many issues if we were to repeal both the 16th and 17th amendments.
The Federal Reserve and or fiat monetary system are here to stay, but the above changes would enhance its' ability to control inflation.

Politics aside, when did we start letting our government support people through life.
About 90 years ago. We're still here, and 100X more powerful and wealthy than we were back then. There's no explanation for it.
This whole idea of getting on welfare, drawing a check, getting on food stamps were all meant for temporary help through trying times, and not a lifetime of dependency.....what went wrong?
Aside from wealth being cornered by 3% of the population? No idea.
