The Daybell/Vallow saga

If you aren't aware or to job your memory, Chad Daybell is an LDS doomsdayer and his newest wife Lori Vallow was a mother of two. They're both now in jail and the kids were found dead and buried (the oldest was dismembered and burned) on Chad's property. They believed that the kids were zombies whose bodies were taken over by evil so they had to die in order to save their souls...or something. They also would rate people as light and dark with varying strengths. The kids were dark because, of course, zombies.

But I also just learned that they rated Oprah Winfrey was a dark spirit who was destined to usher in the end of times. :roll:

AND that they might have used malachite to kill Lori's brother Alex Cox whose autopsy results showed a pulmonary embolism which can be caused by malachite, I guess? And possibly Chad's wife Tammy as well. I have no idea -- just a theory out there. And to add to that theory -- Lori bought a malachite ring as her wedding ring. Could it have been some sort of sick souvenir-like purchase to remember Alex and Tammy's deaths?

I have been following the case closely almost from the start. This is one of those things where truth turns out to be stranger than fiction.

Do you know about the niece and that stuff?
The 3 or 4 previous husbands that all died along with loris sisters mysterious death back in the 90s.
The woman has a trail of carnage.

I hadn't heard about her sister dying. Pretty crazy that one person has so many deaths around her. I think only 2 husbands are dead.

even calamity's first-hand accounts of having a ringside seat to dying and mayhem does not compare to this real-life/death saga
 
I've been following this one. I lived in SLC for 6 years and there are a bunch of LDS whackos and cult offshoots. Another one is the Josh Powell case: weird-o-rama. Then there's Warren Jeffs: child bride lover. Whacked.

This one was also interesting, because I was on a job in Maui for 6 weeks in Feb-Mar, while this couple were on Kawai. It was making Hawaii news, and locals being interviewed wanted them gone. I will never understand how a mother could kill, or allow another to kill, their own children. For what...a new life?? To destroy evil zombies? Unbelievable.

There are people in our world that are just 100% evil.

It always amazes be when two of them are able find each other and go on a killing spree.

Right at this moment there is probably someone in this country being tortured by an evil pig. That sucks to even think that.

I absolutely am not surprised. I know what happened to someone I went out with, and what she went through made this couple's story seem only mildly evil in comparison.

The Powell case was absolutely horrifying. That 911 call from the social worker right before he blew up the house with him and the kids in it was so infuriating and traumatizing, especially when we know what happened a few minutes later.
 
The police were at Chad's house again this week with a search warrant.
