Time was, the day after Election Day could be spent leisurely going through the results and noting who won and who lost. The morning papers might have a few 'to be decided' notations, but the evening papers* would have complete reports.
That was then. This is now.
I've decided that I'll check the results on November 11th. That should give the noise and nonsense chance to settle down and the mail-in ballot results will have been added to the direct in-person polling figures. True, I'll miss out on some of the hyperventilating excitement, but it's a small price to pay.
About a month later, I'll find amusement in checking the on-line auction sites to see the prices that election memorabilia brings.
Regards, stay safe 'n well. Remember the Big 3: masks, hand washing and physical distancing.
* 'Morning' and 'evening' papers are something of a give-away of my age, nu?
