Had both these in Berlin a couple of years ago...in hot weather they were perfect...and not too high in alcohol during the day either.

Yes - very refreshing - on a hot day - out in the open air - in a beer garden - possibly beneath chestnut trees - and out of a big glass. :)

Sam Adams makes a ‘Cherry Wheat’ that is very good now and then.
Always liked the Boston Lager...very similar to Young‘s Special London Ale...but a bit weaker...which can be a good thing.😇

We drank those beers in a central Berlin bar...but we had 2 great afternoons at the Prater beer garden drinking their own lager.

Here’s a picture I took in the bar in June 2019...

Lager and lime was a big thing in the 70s and 80s...you don’t really see it now.

I have not seen it for a long time either - would enjoy it if it came back some time :)

Well , me I’m colour blind , these are all equally beautiful..141AD5F5-B552-4949-970E-77AC6B2677B1.jpegAF220EF4-4A73-42FA-81F4-BEA7FAFA2EA7.jpeg595FB330-D44F-4C66-A311-70F47D1F5ACF.jpeg

How is Guinness from the West Indies like? :)

Very nice mate...it’s a newish beer brewed in Dublin based on an 1801 recipe according to the label. It’s 6% alcohol. I liked it...these Porters originated in London though and would have been exported to the Caribbean .

This is a widely available stronger version...

In my opinion Samuel Smiths make the best stouts though...all their beers are great.

Had these last night...and a few glasses of Scotch...

Stouts and Porters in colder months.

Lagers any time. Same with good Pilsners.

IPA’s in warmer/hotter months.

Only time I’ll drink Corona with lime is while sitting on a beach.

Sam Adams beer is mostly swill.

Samuel Smith’s selections are mostly stellar.

Not a fan of wheat beer either.

Had mine in Hamburg.

Murphy's in the states, Beamish in Cork.

At present I'm into west coast hazy IPAs.

I like Dogfish Head 60 Minute.

My standard go to is Union Jack IPA by Firestone Walker.

When it gets to be hotter than forty hells, as it soon will, I go with Stella more often as not.

No wheat beer, no sweet beer, no green beer, no light beer for me.

Love beer but not green. Had a jalapeno beer some years ago and still regret it.

Corona is basically tasteless without the lime lol.

I think Boston lager from Sam Adams is a great everyday beer.

Samuel Smiths are great...but even fairly hard to get in the U.K. unless you get them via post. Years ago ( early 2000s) I went in a pub near Fleet St in London and they were selling the stuff for £1.80 a pint....
