...apparently this republicrat swallows every last spoonful of bankster propaganda!.. :cuckoo:

Operation Cyclone - Wikipedia

Operation Cyclone was the code name for the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program to arm and finance the mujahideen (jihadists) in Afghanistan from 1979 to 1989, prior to and during the military intervention by the USSR in support of its client, the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. The mujahideen were also supported by Britain's MI6, who conducted separate covert actions. The program leaned heavily towards supporting militant Islamic groups that were favored by the regime of Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq in neighboring Pakistan, rather than other, less ideological Afghan resistance groups that had also been fighting the Marxist-oriented Democratic Republic of Afghanistan regime since before the Soviet intervention.[1]

Operation Cyclone was one of the longest and most expensive covert CIA operations ever undertaken.[2] Funding officially began with $695,000 in 1979,[3][4] was increased dramatically to $20–$30 million per year in 1980, and rose to $630 million per year in 1987,[1][5][6] described as the "biggest bequest to any Third World insurgency."[7] Funding continued (albeit reduced) after the 1989 Soviet withdrawal as the mujahideen continued to battle the forces of President Mohammad Najibullah's army during the Afghan Civil War (1989–1992).[8]

mujahideen =/= Al Qaeda

Al Qaeda did not even get off the ground until the waning days of the Afghanistan war against the Soviets.

Our invasion of Afghanistan didn't help us capture bin laden. It took almost a decade later where we sent a seal team into a country we weren't even at war with to whack him. Jesus christ dude I thought you were a history buff, but claiming we had to invade Afghanistan in 2001 to kill bin Laden is certified stupid.

It was the intent of the invasion.

....sadly your typical brain-laundered republicrat has gone to the dark side...'light siders' have an organic understanding that the legitimacy of government rests on 'the consent of the governed'... the notion that a government has the moral legitimacy to use state power only when consented to by the people over which that political power is exercised...

...i'll put it another way for dark-side republicrats: ...the people of venezuela, syria, afghanistan, iran, iraq, etc. ad gd nauseam, CERTAINLY don't get a vote in 'murca and CERTAINLY don't consent to the dictates of joe biden, donald trump, mitch, nancy, or any of the rest of your puppet$...

...therefore, what the warmongering, republicrat world-police-state pigs and their apologists are doing is CLEARLY not legitimate or just...

Another CT fueled rant....

And the standard CT response to questions and facts that they cannot process. Call names, move goalposts, demand their "theories" be dis-proven rather than providing logical and factual support for their own claims...

Oh look, another delusional and narcissistic rant from the CTer, showing exactly why CTers are throughly mocked across the world.

The people of Venezuela, Syria, Iran and places like them certainly don’t get to vote freely in their countries, which is why they are run by such vile regimes.

Therefore, your defense of such regimes is truly pathetic. You would never dream of moving to Taliban run chunks of Afghanistan, or ISIS controlled swathes of Syria, but you gleefully cheerlead for such regimes regardless.

And it was an utter, abject failure.

Read a book or something if you were too young to experience any of that failure first hand.

If you had availed your self of a book or two you would understand what happened and why it happened instead of making a stupid claim as you did.

It helped as he no longer had the Taliban training camps and safe zones.

What we could not know is the lengths elements of the Pakistani government would go to hide him.

Wrong country, wrong decade, wrong president. The 2001 war in Afghanistan under Bush had nothing to do with the 2011 killing of Bin Laden in Pakistan by Obama.

If you're too lazy to read a book at least read the Wikipedia. It's always pathetic to see little kids with no idea what they're talking about pretending they're an expert.

Where was Bin Laden when he was whacked.

Clue : It wasn't Afghanistan.

When the Americans and the Northern Alliance took Tora Bora we diminished Bin Laden. That and the US and other nations freezing Bin Laden's funds helped reign him in even more.

In the end he was another old man watching porn and thinking of his glory days.

I know you're very dedicated to keeping up the narrative you've been fed, but the half page summary of the Afghanistan war you had in high school history class wasn't exactly the whole picture.

I'm glad I was able to at least convince you Bin Laden wasn't in Afghanistan, that's progress. If you're too lazy to read, you could at least watch Zero Dark Thirty or something.

You win.... (Sarcasm)

The invasion of Afghanistan had nothing to do with catching Bin Laden.

We didn't destroy his hiding place there.

We didn't neuter him.

We didn't damage his organization.

Nope.

None of that happened.

(End sarcasm mode)

He went to Pakistan.....after we destroyed his bases in Afghanistan .

You struggling with such a basic concept doesn’t change the facts.

I do read. A lot. That’s how I know the Taliban had tanks.....which was another thing you were clueless about.

...yes, the monstrously stooooooooooooooooooopid policies of republicrat interventionists, warmongers, arms dealers, etc. have hooked-up the taliban and others with military equipment they use to kill americans and others...

How the US Is Indirectly Arming the Taliban – The Diplomat

"..In 2014, the Islamic State captured weapons from Syrian rebels armed by the United States. In 2015, the Iranian-backed Iraqi militia Kataib Hezbollah acquired several M1 Abrams tanks sold to the Iraqi Security Forces by the U.S. This problem has spread as far as Afghanistan, where much of the Taliban’s armory comes from American equipment given to the Afghan military and police.

The insurgents’ Western-sourced arsenal includes lasers and night-vision goggles abandoned by Afghan and American soldiers and bought on the black market, doubling the number of nighttime Taliban attacks and tripling the rate of Afghan casualties between 2014 and 2017.

In 2015, the insurgents posted videos of themselves driving Humvees and tanks during the Battle of Kunduz, and, in 2016, they used Humvees to conduct suicide attacks on an Afghan checkpoint in the southern province of Helmand. Last year, the Taliban distributed propaganda purported to depict American assault rifles and radios captured in an operation in Kandahar...."

Captured weapons are not "supplied" to combatants.

Perhaps you don't understand the term "captured".

If I picked up an AKM rifle from the battlefield did Russia "supply' me with that weapon?

No, that would be ridiculous....

Even more so if I picked up that AKM then sold it to a Canadian buddy. Is the Canadian "supplied" by Russia?

...here's a very interesting discussion as to why so many of our naive gullible fellows have swallowed and parrot US government and iZraeli government propaganda....excellent video for scholars!... ['radio scholars' will be disappointed...]

Israel Propaganda in the News Media - UMass Professor Emeritus Sut Jhally - Antiwar.com Blog

You keep misspelling Israel. And bankers. Why listen to someone who can't even get basic titles correct?

Israel uses propaganda... OMFG! What a revelation!

Iran has PressTV (state run propaganda arm)

Russia has RT.Com (state run propaganda arm)

Then there is Al Jazeera. A pro Muslim propaganda network.

The US has a number of pro American propaganda networks.

Why do the Jews doing so offend you?

...have you ever noticed that the few people who honestly dig into 'the warfare state' are disgusted and they get more disgusted the more they know?

Regime Change in Chile – The Future of Freedom Foundation

"...The officials in the national-security establishment — e.g., the Pentagon, the CIA, and the NSA — were convinced that there was a worldwide communist conspiracy based in Moscow, Russia, that was hell-bent on conquering the world, including the United States. That’s why U.S. officials adopted the national-security form of government after World War II — to prevent this supposed conspiracy from succeeding.

That’s also why the U.S. national-security establishment intervened in Korea’s civil war and, then later, in Vietnam’s civil war. U.S. officials were convinced that interventionism was necessary to stop the Reds from coming to the United States and getting us.

That’s what the CIA’s coups in Iran in 1953 and Guatemala in 1954 were all about....

...In retrospect, President Kennedy has been proven right. The Cold Was was nothing but one great big racket, one that he was determined to bring to an end. Unfortunately, he lost the war with the U.S. national-security establishment. The people of Vietnam, Cuba, Chile, the United States, along with many others round the world, have suffered the consequences. See FFF’s e book JFK’s War with the National Security Establishment: Why Kennedy Was Assassinated by Douglas Horne, which will soon be in print format as well."
