You think? I dispatched them with Fauc. Liars under the umbrella of science.

They give science a bad name.

So we have an odd situation developing. The layperson’s understanding of a vaccine is that it protects a person against infection, like measles or smallpox. In other words, you won’t get Covid, exactly as President Biden accidentally and apparently inaccurately said in a press conference last week. That is apparently untrue in this case. That realization seemed to dawn on people only a few weeks ago, as reports from Israel revealed that half the new infections listed were with people who had been fully vaccinated.

The only reason the delta variant exists is because there's so many conspiracy theory idiots that refuse to get the vaccine or even take the virus seriously, so it is being passed back and forth and being allowed to mutate. This is your fault and the fault of people like you.

No, pointing out that the existing vaccines may not be as effective against new virus mutations is not a flip-flop. Stop reading idiotic blogs and coming up with stupid fantasies about the CDC ceasing to exist because it's drawing attention to the problems YOU caused. Further, no one has claimed vaccines are 100% effective, just the opposite.

Show me ONE example of anyone from the CDC saying all vaccines will be equally effective against future mutations. You can't because you're lying through your teeth, as usual.

W ORLEANS (WVUE) - One week after receiving the COVID vaccine, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise sent out a tweet arguing the CDC’s face mask advisory for both the vaccinated and unvaccinated. He said it only discourages people from getting the vaccine in the first place.

He narrated the back-and-forth of the CDC’s mask advisories, adding “This isn’t about science-- It’s about government control.”

So no, nowhere did the CDC say vaccines are currently 100% effective or that it would stay that way against future mutations. Are you ready to admit you lied or would you like to try to source your claim?

LOL. This is just untrue. You're just blaming the people you don't like because the TV told you not to like them. Think!

It's hysteria. The bureaucrats you'd have us blindly follow are not worthy of your trust.

According to the CDC, both vaccinated and unvaccinated people with COVID have a similar amount of virus in their bodies. When the Alpha variant was dominant, health experts believed that vaccinated individuals had reduced viral loads and could not transmit the virus to others. However, Walensky says that vaccinated people infected with the Delta variant could spread the virus further.

But, 50% of new cases in Israel are from the vaccinated? I think folks were led to believe the return on investment would have been better.

So your response is "nuh uh". VySky is incapable of defending or sourcing his claim that the CDC said vaccines are 100% effective and that it would remain that way with future mutations. Would you like to get off your intellectual ass and put some effort in to prove that?

Show me that 50% of the new cases are vaccinated and then show me someone from the CDC saying that couldn't happen with future mutations. You refuse again because you're lying and making things up.

Why do you care anyways, you think the virus is fake, so how are any infections possible?

You said the unvaccinated caused Delta. That's just wrong. The Delta variant emerged in India in April.

You blaming this virus on you political opponents is nothing but blind bigotry.

Jeffrey Tucker is an idiot. Will the GQP be advocating the dismantling of the CDC?

Most of India is not vaccinated and especially weren't in April. If you'd like to claim most Indians were vaccinated, show us the evidence.

No, I'm blaming this mutation on illiterate, conspiracy theory dumbasses that spent a year calling the virus a hoax and no big deal, demanded we let it infect everyone to reach herd immunity, then refused to get the vaccine when offered.

You refuse yet again to defend or source your claims or the claims of VySky, because you know you can't.

That's a blog and it definitely doesn't show anyone from the CDC or anywhere else saying the vaccine is 100% effective and will remain such against future mutations.

How can you type when your pants are on that much fire. This is your 4th refusal to back up your claim. Stop changing the subject and defend your claim like an adult might.

But 50% effective like in Israel? It’s getting to be as useful as the yearly flu vaccine which is another joke.

You have not shown proof of that claim either. You make ridiculous claims then when challenged to source it you just make more idiotic and unrelated claims. Stop derailing your own thread and show us the CDC quote flip flopping.

I sourced the UK data. And the Israeli data is also linked in the OP. You didn’t read it did you?

VySky:

The Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus may have caused millions of deaths in India where it is likely to have developed. A US-based study of excessive deaths in India during the period of the pandemic found that excessive deaths were up between 3.4-4.7 millions during the last 18 months in India. This data is routinely published by the Indian Government but India has not published it since 2019, forcing an outside entity to do the number crunching. The prime suspect for many of these excess deaths is of course the Delta variant to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In a worst case scenario that means that India's death toll from the Delta variant is perhaps 10 times the published toll by the Indian Government or about 4 millions dead.

That's why the CDC and Dr. Fauci decided to rapidly reverse course on public health policy regarding this variant's spread in America. If that's not enough to convince you that America is not out of the woods regarding Covid-19, then look up what the Lambda variant is doing to South and Central American populations right now. That variant is now present in America too. Science changes when new data become available. Deal with it.

Cheers and be well.
Evilroddy.

Do they wash their hands yet after using the restroom? I suggest start there to slow the spread of oh…… just about anything.

No, blogs are not sources, and they also had nothing to do with your claim about the CDC. Be a man and just defend your original assertion. Who at the CDC said all vaccines are 100% effective and would remain so?

It doesn’t matter what the CDC is saying now. They are not credible. America is blowing them off appropriately. I don’t trust anyone at the beach yelling shark shark shark all day at top of their lungs.

It’s a strawman question. Mutations occur randomly and are not intentional. They can arise in either the vaccinated or unvaccinated.

So because the layperson is wrong in making assumptions about vaccines, that means scientists are in fact the ones who are wrong for correcting the laypersons' bad beliefs?

Those laypersons need to think about the flu shot and how no, the flu shot does not protect you from the flu. That is and has been true for pretty ever, since the first flu vaccines.

Most people nowdays also have not had the smallpox vaccine because it stopped being given to people in the US before I was born, well over 40 years ago. As for measles, it only comes up when antivaccers reach a certain amount in an area where they put others in danger of a spread. And unlike their beliefs, yes those who are vaccinated can get measles, eventhough it is very rare. Just like you can get chicken pox more than once, eventhough it is very rare.

This is confusing; numbers and analyses keep changing, and I'm wondering about this:

Israeli health officials have said 60% of current hospitalized COVID-19 cases are in vaccinated people. Most of them are age 60 or older and often have underlying health problems.

In the United States, which has experienced more COVID-19 cases and deaths than any other country, the Delta variant represents about 83% of new infections. So far, unvaccinated people represent nearly 97% of severe cases.

How is it that 60% of hospitalized patients in Israel are vaccinated and only 3% of hospitalized patients in the US are vaccinated? Pfizer has been the most commonly used vaccine here, too. But even if it has something to do with the vaccines, it wouldn't account for that big a difference.

This is like watching the breaking news of a mass shooting. News gets announced and repeated in a loop and then changed as they learn more. And there are always huge unanswered questions. Explanations change from day to day. It's really confusing.

But, 50% of new cases in Israel are from the vaccinated? I think folks were led to believe the return on investment would have been better.
It is imperative that Covid be externally eradicated. Anybody with a rudimentary knowledge of its capability knows that its replication is so rapid and so sweeping that the odds for mutation are in the ninety percentile. It's blowing through the vaccinated population at an accelerated rate, which means it's ALREADY mutating. Even a Pfizer cocktail isn't controlling it anymore. The vaccinated want to rest their laurels on the idea that once contracted, the symptoms are milder. But it's only a question of time before they're not, and they're spreading it. Covid is a designer virus. It's unlike any we've seen to date. And as much as every head of state wants to declare "mission accomplished," we're a long way off. It has to be taken very seriously NOW or it's going to take millions more lives and destabilize the global economy, which means war. There was NO change in covid's trajectory. I have no doubt that anybody knowledgeable working out the outcome knew that vaccines were stop gap. Vaccines afforded a reprieve to health care workers in as much as people were able to take the hit at home. But that will not last. N95 mask are imperative and we should be ramping up production. Social distancing is imperative, and ultra violet sterilization in ventilation systems is paramount, because it's an external eradication. It destroys it. And what we need now is to deprive it completely of hosts. If we don't, every vaccinated or unvaccinated individual is nothing more than a covid laboratory where its millions can mutate right out of our ability to fight it off. Let me repeat, it has to be externally eradicated. Thanks!!

The OP is dishonest, specifically as pointed out on other posting, evasive, for not providing evidence of claims made, and further dishonestly diverts others by leading them to supposed evidence that isn't there. A claim made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence and is thus unfounded and need not be debated further. OP fail.

Just a note, the experience in Israel is recent and outcomes are initial, but hospitalization, extreme illness and death from those vaccinated that contract COVID is extremely low. Much lower than is avg in the world. Being so recent, not real sure of long haul side effects.
