Trumps criminal cases and/or sentences should NOT be suspended. He can serve his time in office concurrently with serving his time in prison just like any other mob boss who runs his outfit from prison. He stole the election with fraudulent lies & misinformation that conned enough voters to beat Harris by a few percentage points. During the campaign he suckered auto workers into supporting him with "20% -2000%" tariffs to protect their jobs. Now that he won, he's already backpedaling talking about 10% tariffs and saying his tariffs will be "negotiating" leverage, which means he can throw the auto workers under the bus any time he wants if he decides to drop the tariffs in exchange for some other unrelated objective. Somebody should make a list of every campaign bribe and promise he made and immediately charge him with fraud for every one that he does not literally achieve, fire him, and replace him with Harris.

How many criminals will take Trumps ended cases as a blank check? The election wasn't a jury vote. it was a perceived selfinterest vote by 19% of the population. In theory he could be sentenced, and it might be deferred until after his term is up. However, I think the judge knows that he is on the cusp of getting SCOTUS involved if he attempts to send Trump to prison before he takes office. The case is legally dubious as it is, and for a first-time offender on not listing his expenses correctly...well, its a reach.

Of course, if he did go to jail before taking office then Vance will take office and I don't see that he would make a big difference, although hopefully he would be more rational.

PS the other "crimes" are too far behind to have any bearing. Jack Smith will be fired and Georgia's lawfare will be suspended.

By the way, it appears that the Biden DOJ under Garland has F'd up again.

First, they delayed and waited way too long to file charges.

Second, they didn't appoint a US Attorney as a special council, as has been the custom. Jack Smith is not a US Attorney.

Third, after losing at the trial court level because Jack Smith was not a US Attorney, rather than quickly appointing an actual US attorney to replace him Garland seems to have sat on it.

Last, Bill Barr smartly appointed Durham, a US attorney, as special counsel to investigate the Trump investigation, two weeks before the 2020 election and in confidence so as not to influence the election. As a special counsel can only be dismissed for cause, this made it difficult for Biden and Garland to fire Durham when they took office.

Yet, as far as we know, Garland made no such preparations and unless he does quickly, the Trump investigation is kaput.

Thats simply not true. All of his attacks have been partisan attacks fabricated on lies and corruptions of fact. Both impeachment trials were farces. He NEVER demanded a quid pro quo from Zelensky...that has been UNDENIABLY PROVED...but the leftists still believe it to be true. He NEVER called for violence and in fact offered to order up 10,000 of the Nasty Girls to help ensure things remained peaceful...again...facts proved. The Letitia James trial was a ****ing joke. Every single business and banker interviewed agreed there was no crime...that what he was charged with is common day to day business practice, and even the banks said they were not in ANY way cvict9imized and would still do business with h9im today. That case such a fraud that even the Governor of New York came out and assured the other business developers that the New York AG wouldn't target any of them...that they were safe to continue business as usual...it was ONLY Trump.

All of it was based on lies. The people that today cry and pee themselves and claim trump is going to target political opponents have been cheering on their rat party doing that very thing going back to 2016.

That's no point. I have no doubt lots of criminal get away with their crimes because they can find ways to remain under the radar. Trump was devious in handling the docs and refusing to turn some of them over when asked which resulted in raids. Biden was far more transparent & cooperative because he has more respect for the USA.
