21 billion dollars for the Iraq war goes missing.

Congress finds out that the money is missing.

Congress votes to investigate the missing money.

Bush signs the legislation calling for the investigation,

Along with a signing statement which cancelled the investigation.

Article is here.

If theres one thing that irritates me most about that man, its his signing statements...

Yeah, but we're making damn sure them gays don't get married or we make a poor single mother jump through hoops to get Immunizations for her kids to go to school. :(

This missing money crap has been going on for a long time and no one seems all that interested in it. Did everybody get a cut but me?...LOL

Hey, lookit, Pelosi has changed parties! Who'da thunk it?

as have Rep. Nancy Pelosi (R-CA) and Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV),

Just remember, you heard it here first!

You therefore deny that Bush shut down the investigation?

I have long wondered if they aren't just stealing the money...

What better opportunity! Cash! No accountability! Only thing missing is a mask and gun, but I guess that's not needed if you have a white collar!

$12 billion in cash that the Pentagon flew into Iraq straight from Federal Reserve vaults via military transports, and for which there has been little or no accounting.

This is totally awesome !

Yea America !

STealing money is such a harsh word, more like kick backs.

How many singing statments is that for Bush, 750?
No wonder he never vetos

I gotta ask where the MSM media is on this? The only time I ever heard any real news about this is when they first noticed the missing billions. AFAIK the MSM never did any real investigating though and they seem to have dropped the issue. If the "liberal" media is out to bash Bush and the war at any cost, why do they ignore this story?

Lol, it's sad that the public just doesn't care about this issue; so sad that it's laughable.

The public might care if more of them knew about it. Most people rely on the msm to tell them the news, but the msm ignores or barely covers a lot of what should be important news.

Dunno about that one realy, because it's kind of a catch 22. Journalists part of the msm though persue the facts however are limited by thier bosses to post things that are of value to the populice.
In conclusion, keep the public ignorant and dumb, they'll excite over anything fed to them - baseball, basketball, american football, hell even hockey, celebrity gossip.
Few ppl would care, sadly, even if there was an announcement tomorrow about the Bush admin being completely corrupt with the 21 billion.

Over 700 signing statements. This in and of itself is grounds for impeachement.

No wonder Bush never vetos anything, doesn't need to, just writes "does not apply" on legislation he disagrees with.

I had no idea that constituted grounds. I mean yeah sure he was fine at 699 but 700, now he's gone nuts.
