The bond that explains why some on the Christian right support Putin’s war

That's beside the point. We as a species have progressed. It would take at least Taliban methods to enforce a God centered America. Matter of fact it can't be done. And since you brought up morality, your God's morals ain't up to snuff.
Show me one person murdered by a follower of Jesus who practiced "Love your neighbor" and "love your enemies"?

Putin and Russia are not communist.
Russia hasn't been communist since 1991.
Russia under Putin's "United Russia Party" is functioning as a fascist state.

If you are unable to recognize the fact that the USSR no longer exists, you're not qualified to take part in discussions
about Vladimir Putin or Ukraine because you don't understand the ideological conflict that is underpinning the war happening there.
<facepalm>

They may have changed their party name but they're acting like the Communists of old. Sorry you can't see it.

Really...so you're insisting that they're promoting the "classless society" envisioned by Marx and Lenin?
Show me, amongst the burgeoning Russian consumerism and oligarch billionaires, where that classless society exists.
Show me the communists wiping out the bourgeoise capitalist ownership class, show me the prohibition on property ownership, show me the
campaigns against decadent worship of Western materialism. Show me the bans against the Russian Orthodox Church, which was forced underground
for seventy plus years under the communist soviets.

See, you don't even know how communism and fascism even work, how they function or what their goals are.
You argue with the mentality of a child who saw a cartoon with bad guys and good guys, and you were told what to think.
You're the one who can't see other than what you're told to see, you're the one who lacks critical thinking abilities.

(yada yada yada)...
You're the one who can't see other than what you're told to see, you're the one who lacks critical thinking abilities.
Go tell it to your pet carp. Communism is what Communism does, and it's obvious for all to see in Ukraine.

Again, and I'll repeat this to the day you take your last breath, you don't know what communism is, so you're not in a position
to tell anyone who is and who isn't communist. If you could, you would have refuted or disproven at least one of my prior statements.

You can't.
So standing around huffing and puffing and talking about pet fish is meaningless...and juvenile.

Again, and I'll repeat this...

Putin is a product of the USSR communist regime. He was a party member and was working for the KGB. He's STILL acting as a Communist. People with clear vision can see what he is.

Explain to me why Vladimir Putin is mentored by Aleksandr Dugin then.

Here is the Russian Communist Party today:

Traditionally the head of state IS also the head of the Communist Party, and Putin is nowhere to be found.
As of 2015, the party has 160,000 members.

This is Putin's Party -- United Russia

Its political ideology is Russian Conservatism, characterized by support for Christian values, Russian imperialism, pragmatism, statism, economic interventionism, advocacy for the historical Russian sphere of influence, and a rejection of Western culture.

The Russian Orthodox Church and southern US Evangelism.

A marriage of racial/LGBTQ bigotry and xenophobia.
This article seems like claptrap. They make mention of some made up farce of a bill they call the don't say gay bill which doesn't exist.

So I'm pretty doubtful there's actually anybody that really supports Russia in this involvement people say that when they're not in agreement about becoming involved in the Ukraine fiasco.

I don't think we should be involved in it it's not our problem it's not our war they need to figure it out we have our own problems to deal with I'm surprised that the Ukraine was able to mount such as massive amount of resistance against Russia so they probably don't even need our help.

I'm also against the us being the world Police I don't think we should do that I don't think that's our place.

So no doubt by the people who disagree with me they're going to tell me that I support Russia because I don't agree with them and they have to throw a ten states to fit anytime someone says anything they don't accept.

Case in point fighting against some non-existent Bill in Florida.

When you examine the bill the referring to it has nothing to do with not saying gay it has to do with forbidding child grooming and I support that.

If people want to call me a Nazi or an ophobe or if fascist or whatever Boogeyman they can think of feel free I don't care and they don't matter. I stand by my position and no amount of attacking me for not being woke enough is going to matter because being woke is stupid.

Ukraine got weapons from us. We did help them already to prepare for this. We are also freezing Russian assets. So you are wrong, Ukraine both needs and wants our help. Without it, they would be in worse shape than they are now.

The bill in Florida is not about child grooming. It is about how certain subject matter relating to sexual orientation can be discussed in front of a certain age group of children. So you don't even know what the bill is about and couldn't have looked at it as you never "examined" the bill. Another big part of the bill is about informing parents about the health and welfare of their children.

It is another law under the Duhsantis regime looking for a problem that doesn't exist and thus creating more problems for the Florida legal system to deal with. Parental lawsuits to follow.

Of course, right now, a huge supplier for Ukraine's weapon right now is russia

There's plenty of bigots around. Lately the liberal-left is full of them.

Once it gets to all of them, they'll be even with the conservative right.

LOL. You've been napping.

Today's liberalism is Fascism.

They're coming to get you! They're everywhere! Hide your children and your women. Whatever you do, don't educate yourselves or your children because you'll only be taught child porn and gay sex is OK. Check your closet and under your bed at night, gun in hand. And another thing...

Nah. Conservatives are pikers compared to the loony left. Especially CNN which is full of it.

Early stages without a doubt, its morphing into something very ugly.

Someone with the balls to take out Putin would be a step in the right direction.

I always wondered if "nothing left to lose" is a possible value system for meting out justice in a society where the rule of law no longer applies.
Who better to take out a despot than someone who won't live long enough to see the inside of a courtroom much less a jail cell?
History shows that it's the folks with nothing left to lose who ultimately muster the guts to take such bold actions, and that is the tightrope that cruel and lawless despots walk, even if they don't realize it.
There comes a point where even your own praetorian guards will no longer feel motivated to protect you, such are your excesses.

@cpwill is that off the wall nutty enough for you? 😎

Putin is a war criminal. I don't know of any of my Christian friends who support Putin / Russia on this war.

I'll tell you what sucks, though - liberals like Joe Biden refusing to cut off Russian oil, which helps finance the illegal war against the Ukraine.

I'm not sure if you're pushing LGBTQ lifestyles as something approved by God. It's not.
What is an LGBT lifestyle and how is it being pushed? I want details.

Your omnipotent and omniscient god made LGBT people, so he can't hate them that much. Maybe it's just you who hates them and you are desperate to use god as a way to rationalize your homophobic and transphobic bigotry.

Today's liberalism is Fascism.

Liberals can not be fascist because fascist is authoritarian and capitalist. fascists have always hated liberals, socialists, communists, and LGBT. Where do you think the pink triangle that is a LGBT symbol came from?

The brightly colored symbol is now often worn proudly, but it was born from a dark period in LGBTQ history and world history.

Just as the Nazis forced Jewish people to wear a yellow Star of David, they forced people they labeled as gay to wear inverted pink triangles (or ‘die Rosa-Winkel’). Those thus branded were treated as “the lowest of the low in the camp hierarchy,” as one scholar put it.

The roots of the Nazi persecution of gay people are deep. Since German unification in 1871, a section of the country’s criminal law widely known as “paragraph 175” had said that men who engaged in acts of “unnatural indecency” could go to jail. In 1877, the German Supreme Court of Justice clarified that to mean evidence of an “intercourse-like act.” But the law was only enforced sporadically. And the fact that it was almost impossible to convict anyone unless he confessed to such a crime in court meant that police just kept a watchful eye on gay bars and events, and Germany ended up becoming home to a vibrant gay community. Historian Robert Beachy argues that, ironically, the law spurred scientific interest in the study of sexual preferences, and that research tended to encourage a more scientific understanding of human sexuality, which further allowed the idea of gay rights to flourish.

Your omnipotent and omniscient god made LGBT people....
Nonsense.

You know, just when you think liberalism couldn't get any more perverted or demented, out comes another river of immoral vomit. It's not enough for mainstream liberals to engage in or approve of moral debauchery, they have to force-feed it to young school children too. Little school children don't need to know how other people perform sex acts. Only the wicked-minded would think they do.
