The Bible Survived Attempts to Alter Its Message...

Agreed and yet the truth can still be obtained through it...

No in any verifiable way. Only through unsupported speculation and pure belief without evidence.

How would you know that? How could anyone?
Like many religious people, they just believe and that's all that is needed. then spout nonsense like its fact, then whine and play persecuted when people point out how ridiculous their position is. The bible has been edited, trnaslated, books left out, books included to fit the narrative they wanted. What does a fictional book have to withstand anyway?

This is such misleading BS I don't know where to start. For now, please cite the passages which have been "edited" and "mistranslated".

Unless you have copies of the original writings of the original authors, it's impossible to know whether their original writings have been preserved, or whether changes that may have happened centuries later through translation or otherwise moved the message away from the original, or toward it.

So your request is pretty much totally irrelevant.

The Bible didn't survive the JWs attempt to alter its message.

Pretty much every sect of Christianity has its own version of what the text means. They can't all be right, but they most certain can all be wrong.

Wrong...

What's interesting is that the truth can be found, regardless of what translation of the Bible is used...the problem with some people's interpretations is they fail to follow the guidelines of accurate understanding...one must gather together all the scriptures germane to the subject being discussed...context must also be considered...then and only then, when all the scriptures on any given matter are in harmony with one another, have you arrived at the correct understanding...for example...the trinity...

Trinitarians rely basically on John 1:1, John 10:30, and Matthew 28:19 to support their doctrine but ignore all the other numerous scriptures which support the fact that the Father and Son are 2 separate beings...even John 10:30, they fail to consider the context...Jesus was talking about the 2 being one in union, with the same goals in mind, not the same being...that belief is in direct contradiction to what Jesus said...when interpreted correctly, no 2 scriptures are in contradiction with one another...

What the text "means" and what you think it says are often two different things. This is why people study it. The people who study it know what it means, they all come to the same conclusion.

Do you think all the different sects of Christianity didn't "study it" before coming up with their very different, and often conflicting interpretations?

You're leaving out one vital detail...the Bible does NOT conflict with itself...

So on one hand you say it's impossible to know and on the other you say it's not. So which is it?

Well, to really screw it up you need a cult to help you. And a bunch of self ordained, ignorant cultists. Fortunately, the Protestants get it right more often than not.

The bible won't survive another 100 years. It will be looked at as a book of fairy tales, which it is.

Yet, we arrived at our beliefs from studying the KJV...go figure...:sneaky:

Lol - you just think you studied it. That's a big difference.
You can't even see the lies. You didn't arrve at your false teachings by studying KJV! :)

More likely............................................. JW was copying from KJV :ROFLMAO: - but changing and corrupting some statements from KJV, to suit JW's belief.
Hahahaha - maybe that's why they won't say who their translators are! Maybe - nobody translated it - they just COPIED from KJV! Hahahaha

The New World Translation (NWT) is defined by the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ parent organization (the Watchtower Society) as "a translation of the Holy Scriptures made directly from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek into modern-day English by a committee of anointed witnesses of Jehovah." The NWT is the anonymous work of the “New World Bible Translation Committee.” Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that the anonymity is in place so that the credit for the work will go to God. Of course, this has the added benefit of keeping the translators from any accountability for their errors and prevents real scholars from checking their academic credentials.

The New World Translation is unique in one thingit is the first intentional, systematic effort at producing a complete version of the Bible that is edited and revised for the specific purpose of agreeing with a group’s doctrine.

The New World Translation renders the Greek term word staurós ("cross") as "torture stake" because Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe that Jesus was crucified on a cross.
The New World Translation does not translate the words sheol, hades, gehenna, and tartarus as "hell” because Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe in hell.
The NWT gives the translation "presence" instead of “coming” for the Greek word parousia because Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Christ has already returned in the early 1900s.
In Colossians 1:16, the NWT inserts the word “other” despite its being completely absent from the original Greek text.
It does this to give the view that “all other things” were created by Christ, instead of what the text says, “all things were created by Christ.”
This is to go along with their belief that Christ is a created being, which they believe because they deny the Trinity.

Compare KJV with NWT:

Genesis 1 (KJV)
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 1 (NWT)
2 Now the earth was formless and desolate,* and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep,*b and God’s active force*c was moving about over the surface of the waters.d

John 1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1 (NWT)
1 In the beginning was the Word,a and the Word was with God,b and the Word was a god.

Do you believe Jesus Christ has already returned in the early 1900?

True...you sure can't...the NWT was not in print until 1950...

And?
When was KJV in print? Wasn't it 1611?

What's your point?

At least.....................that's good.
You see that the JW prophecy got busted!
You do know about the prophecy?

Anyway - when did you become a JW?
Were you born into it?
