The basic idea of a Single Payer Health Care System doesn't seem wrong

It's in Europe, yes.

Keep digging. It's fun to watch a conservative in a hole.

Can you think of some other countries in Europe besides Germany? I'm sure geographers have discovered a few.

So you also think that Germany is the only country in Europe.

That's just perfect!

well i see your not up to speed.

i read RabidAlpaca posts, and he presents a good argument and knowledge in his arguments, you one the other hand let your emotions take over in your arguments, then you act as though the other person is stupid, while you continue with your usual MEME, and TEA PARTY routine, which is embarrassing for you, and many people have commented.

Can you think of a country in Europe that has single payer insurance?

I can.

By the way, despite your fawning over Rabid, Germany isn't the only country in Europe. Geographers recently discovered other countries there. Google it. It's true.

I made no comment on single payer, Germany, Europe, I commented on how one person uses reason, ...and the other uses emotion, and the art of demonization towards his opposition.

I know you didn't; Rapid did. Try to keep up before you support the silly statement of other tea partiers.

But I'm glad you admit that you think it's logical to confuse Germany with Europe. It's such perfect teabaggery.

There is nothing so amusing as a conservative in a hole, who keeps digging.

If you read the articles, it isn't the system itself, it's the demographics problem ... But Germany STILL has a much better quality system than the US, and STILL the US spends much more on healthcare as a percentage of GDP ... all you're saying is Germany has problems, or might, no system is perfect.

The demographics problem is what all nations have in the western world. Single payer, two tier or no system. Health Care costs are going to raise dramatically no matter the the system due to the demographics problems. So it's not cheaper, rather it suppresses costs in the short term. 15% of your income is gone before you get it in Germany due to it's health care system. You lose 8% from your salary and 7% of possible salary due to corporate taxes for health care.

That's $2,400 for someone making $15,000 a year in lost income and possible income. That takes someone out of Federal Poverty Levels and puts them in Federal Poverty. So you end up pushing them onto Food Stamps and other Government programs and that's a cascading effect. They now need those programs to survive but can't make more money over the FPL or the lose those programs so they are stuck in deciding in a low paying job just to survive or making just too much they become the vacant working poor.

again, I made no comments on the op..... I stated the difference between the two of you, and I am a libertarian, not a conservative.

it isn't 7% of possible salary, its 7% of profit.

But say what you want about the German system .... LOOK AT THE AMERICAN SYSTEM and look at the numbers ... it still does better than the for profit market system.

Germany spends HALF of what we spend.... and More people get care and live longer.
Same with the rest of Europe.
UK spends only 40% of what we do and has National Health Service.

Watch as the usual suspects deny these facts and repeat that single payer health care systems in Europe are failing.

They post from TFZ -- a Totally Fact-Free Zone.

ah yes the old: some other country is better than the U.S.
Fails every time its tried just like socialism.
I couldn't care less about Germany but I'd like to have a Porsche Cayman S

Doesn't England have a very effective Single Payer Healthcare Problem?

Doesn't Mexico too?

I know England's National Health Service (and similar varieties in other countries of west Europe, some more private based than others) is one of the main reason their Healthcare costs per capita are half of America's.

Whether you care less or not; they rebut the stupid conservative tea party claim that they don't work.

Focus, focus.

Why do we haVe to wait for the utopian bliss that living in the USSA will bring
why oh why can't we have it now? when will the One deliver us from this capitalist nightmare?

you left out Cuba and North Korea?

I don't know anything about the NK, but Cuba has a very good healthcare system.

A Surplus of Doctors, that's fantastic.

Exactly. The Cuban system has much better health outcomes than any other Central American country and has for decades. It is rightfully proud of its system, which makes the Reagan-backed death squad states in Central America look like they are in the 12th century.

It's as if conservatives are on another planet.

well that's great the ACA will bring us a cuban style healthcare system

Not really.

One of the main Problems with Britian's NHS (National Health Service) is when the Public and Private sectors mix.

I utterly believe that the Private sector has almost nil to do with preventative care and healthcare in general because a PROFIT MOTIVE should not be involved in SOMEONE'S HEALTH.

What's that old saying?:
If you don't have health, you don't have anything. (Including money)

Frankly, ALL of this Hugabalu is sheer nonsense:

Fox says: This new law will force the young to pay MORE money than they are now!

No ****, because the young don't use doctors they just 'get over it', ignoring the fact that they could be just getting used to a life time disease or in fact accelerating its development by not receiving care. Because the Young should shoulder more of the cost for Preventative Care visits that they simply ARE NOT CURRENTLY UTILIZING. And this has the cost (or profit, for the hospitals) of making the future treatment, in more advanced stages, more costly and, again, the Hospital makes more money off of this.

Not to mention roughly 67% of bankruptcy are caused by unexpected, but necessary, medical bills.

There's really very few rationale explanations for a For-Profit Healthcare Scheme like the one we're running.

because a PROFIT MOTIVE should not be involved in SOMEONE'S HEALTH
That says it all.

That is the difference between us and the folks on the other side of this issue.

We shouldn't compromise one iota with people who see the world in this way.

I don't even know what to say to you, besides look the graphs displayed. I mean, a lot of the evidence is here it doesn't even take you looking into it.

But I'm glad to see you're so callous against your fellow man.

I'm glad to see you're so happy and willing TO PAY FOR THE COST OF THE POOR'S MEDICAL BILLS WHICH GO UNPAID AND ARE THUS TRANSFERRED TO THE COSTS OF YOUR VISITS.

But w/e, I'm wrong you're right.
