Are there such people as authoritarian voters?

Sure there are. They vote for Democrats.

Hillary: "We're going to take things from you on behalf of the common good". And, “We’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.” Also, she can't say if gun ownership is a constitutional right.

There's a whole book written about Democrats' love of liberal fascism, for want of a better phrase.

As Daniel Oliver, director of Pacific Research Institute for Public Policy in San Francisco, wrote in 2016, “Progressivism — the proper name for the governing philosophy of those people who used to be called ‘liberals’ — is inherently authoritarian, and its primary products are lamentation, and mourning, and woe.”

So the Washington Post has said "we are all socialists now", in which case this is not America and we are not Americans.

Absurd OP.

Authoritarianism, as defined, ends up with many forms and as such it is beyond all debate that modern conservatism and modern liberalism are both forms of ideological authoritarianism.

We can talk all day about what might be further along the scale towards an absolute but the reality is all we are talking about is an appeal to authority at expense of personal freedom. Trump, nor Hillary, nor Obama, nor Bush 43, nor just about anyone in the past 20 or more Congresses, nor just about anyone else up on the hill in today's political climate want the consequences of personal freedoms as they tend to contradict the realized power of authority.

This nation slipped into a role of appealing to governance as the ends to some problem for long enough. Economic, social, international interests, etc. all ended up in the category of how to apply the power of governance. The consequences of that thinking are incremental steps towards authoritarianism.

Anyone today in the Republican camp calling out anyone Democrat for appealing to authoritarian voters is hypocrisy.
