The Assault Weapons Ban Is A Dumb Idea Pushed By Dumb People

Left Wing Logic
Was it a Muslim? If yes blame anyone who notices
Was it an Illegals? if yes blame anyone who notices
Was it a Criminal? If yes attack everyone who had noting to do with the crime

"Cruz", not White, has mostly Latino origins.

"One drop," eh?

With the internet and social media? That ship has sailed and it ain't coming back.

True, I am not sure how to work around that. I do think the creation of the 24/7 news cycle and hyper politicization of these attacks have had an impact in the rise in these shootings.

In your most learned opinion what's an assault rifle? Now mind you,not how it's employed but how does it function.

If we get serious about another ban, we can stem the tide of this crap.

SURE JET SURE, in cities where legally owned "assault weapons" were banned from future sale and current owners had to register them, the compliance rate is less than 20%. You want to turn millions of Americans into criminals for refusing to comply with stupid laws that are passed by spiteful people and written by gaping assholes in office. Good thinking

Yes, yes he does. They all do.

There is no answer for control. Criminals will use the best deadly tool they have available. Laws will not stop the black market anyway. There are several cases where conceal carry citizens have thwarted the extent of damage crazy people can do. The best answer in my view is let more citizens carry. Then the criminals always have to worry about a Dudley Do Right shooting them!

Then, why are these weapons the weapon of choice for mass murderers?

Did the laws prevent any?

Do criminals follow the laws?

All you do is take freedom away from honest law abiding people.

The weapon of war argument is nothing more than a thin attempt at advocating gun bans while leaving the target so vague everything is covered. Most guns today are by that definition weapons of war, or derivitaves of weapons of war, even the kentucky rifle and land pattern musket used during the writing of the bill of rights were weapons of war.

Using weapons of war as a means to ban guns would mean 99.9% of guns would be banned even muskets, the term is simply a farce to try and garner support since the term assault weapon stopped scaring people into supporting giving up their rights.

Maybe he will turn his in to show us all.

So then the real question is, what is the Republican Senate, Republican house and Republican presidency doing about it?

Sending thoughts, prayers, and inaction. Maybe this time they’ll grow a pair, but don’t count on it.

maybe he will show up at a police station with an armful he forcibly took from a bunch of gun owners

that's based on the tired and stupid idea the passing gun control will deter someone who wasn't deterred about the consequences of being convicted of multiple counts of capital murder

Sorry, I don't do bold face lying. https://www.ammoland.com/2016/04/ar-15-rifle-historical-time-line/#axzz57E4MYQr8

What could possibly go wrong? And, of course, you forgot sending thoughts and prayers plus permitting guns on airline flights.

Now that would be a sight to behold. Even better watching go down.

In reality, we know he wouldn't. but if he did, we'd most likely first know about it by reading updates to the DARWIN AWARDS

He is still correct though that ar-15's were sold prior to that, as the ar-15 has been available to the public since the 60's and the ar-10 with the ar-15 was based on has been available to the public since the 50's. What that article shows was patent expiration, meaning colt/armalite no longer held exclusive rights to 100% ar-15's, while prior they had to alter the gun to avoid infringement, or pay royalties, however the colt armalite variation was available for sale during the period prior to patent expiration.

When the AR-15 began selling to the public.

semi auto magazine fed centerfire rifles were sold to the US public BEFORE WWI. and our own government's Dept of Civilian Marksmanship distributed thousands upon thousands of MI carbines and MI Garand rifles to citizens after the Korean war. I own about 5 of each that I got from the DCM and its successor, the CMP
