The art of the deal...Germany stops construction of LNG Terminal and blocks american LNG

Tangi, you did not answer. Whats your favorite middle eastern tyranny?

I spiked the ball on your question which is why you're still in a daze and haven't recovered to recognize the disastrous circumstance the Putin-Merkel Axis has got itself into.

There's only escalation now Rostocker.

Which is why I posted dayze ago the next 5 months are going to be heavy. It might take less btw once the Biden/Blinken sanctions come in to bite your intruders in their arse.

The problem obviously is that Germany under Merkel has gone over completely to the Russian side against NATO, EU and all of Europe, and against the United States which you Putin Fanboyz in Germany want ejected from Europe so Your Beloved Russia can become the new hegemon with Germany that has always been driven to lord over all of Europe. Always Rostocker. And as we are seeing Germany will do anything to achieve its long term obsession.

There's not much moving Rostocker. 06 January 2021 pipes for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline from Russia to Germany are stored at the port of Mukran on the German island of Rügen. Germany seems to be pulling away from its close alliance with the U.S., a partnership that was critical in winning the Cold War against the once formidable Soviet Union. This is good news for China and Vladimir Putin’s Russia. Under its long-serving chancellor, Angela Merkel, Germany is going all-out to ensure the completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline even though Putin has never hesitated to use the fuel as a political weapon.

Germany has refused to work closely with Washington to keep strategic technologies from getting into the hands of Beijing. Another recent move is Germany’s pushing through a China-EU investment deal that Beijing sees as a way to loosen U.S.-European ties. The Biden administration has a big job in getting Germany to realize that close cooperation between our two countries in all areas remains absolutely crucial to preserving democracy and the free world’s security in the face of growing pressures from China and Russia.

Steve Forbes who was candidate for potus a couple of times is another who IMO gives too much leeway to Putin's Germany. Rather than try to pamper Putin's Germany to return to the NATO alliance the country needs its face stomped by the United States to break it entirely from the magical allure and attraction of Russia as the muscle behind Germany's drive since becoming a nation state in 1870 to lord over Europe as its master in the German natural order of things.

Regardless, the coming election this year seems to indicate German voters are headed away from the state captured dominance of the Putin KGB Moscow Mafia in the Kremlin over Berlin during the Merkel long period of rule, Merkel being born and raised in the former East Germany DDR of the USSR during the Cold War against the West led by the United States.

The German Greens and Biden/Blinken have much in common concerning renewables and clean energy which is in a stark contrast to Russian oil and gas corporations leaving environmental and community devastation across Russia and now into the Arctic.

The Greens have made clear Russia has no civilizational values in common with the West to include NATO, EU and all of Europe, and the USA that the Putin-Merkel, Russo-German Axis wants to drive out of Europe once and for all.

In fact I would not be surprised if the Greens and the USA of Biden/Blinken would be finding a common ground in this election and may end up cooperating if they aren't cooperating already. After all the USA is well known to never let a good crisis go to waste.

Nord Stream 2 Proves To Be Geo-Political Disaster

Apr 7, 2021

The geo-political folly that is the Nord Stream 2 pipeline came into sharper focus this week. As work on the highly controversial pipeline continued, Russian troops began large scale military maneuvers close to the border with neighboring Ukraine. Russia’s military movements have, in turn, led to the even more recent announcement that Ukraine and British NATO troops will also be conducting joint military in the vicinity of the Russian exercises.

In the meantime, in the face of Russia’s massive buildup, the richest and most powerful EU country, Germany – ordinarily a strong NATO ally – has managed to tactically box itself in due to its partnership with Russia over the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. As a result, Germany is in no position to strongly resist the Russian military move at all, including militarily. Having refused to listen to the many detractors, who for years have tried to warn Germany to avoid tying itself to Russia ever more closely for its natural gas supply, Germany now faces a geopolitical crisis entirely of its own making.

Nord Stream 2 Proves To Be Geo-Political Disaster

I read the other day Germany has energy prices that are among the highest in the world, averaging over 30 cents per kilowatt hour. This compares to 13 cents per kilowatt hour in the United States. In other words Germany and Merkel have bungled the transition to clean energy and renewables to the point it must have natural gas.

Merkel and the German industrialists have eagerly turned to the Moscow Mafia in the Kremlin to help bail them out. They want nothing to do with the United States and suppliers the USA controls via the Petrodollar, such as those in the ME and elsewhere. They want nothing to do with the USA at all.

Biden looks to appoint special envoy to kill Russia-Germany energy pipeline

The administration is vetting Amos Hochstein to negotiate the thorny geopolitics surrounding Nord Stream 2.

The White House is in talks to appoint a special envoy to lead negotiations on halting the construction of Russia-to-Germany gas pipeline Nord Stream 2. Amos Hochstein, who served as the special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs under President Barack Obama and was a close adviser and confidant to then-Vice President Joe Biden is being vetted, but he has not yet accepted the job.

Officials tell POLITICO there’s consensus that the thorny geopolitics surrounding Nord Stream 2 now require more dedicated attention. “[C]ountering Russian malign aggression is in the vital national security interests of all of NATO, all EU members, and our partners in Eastern Europe,” Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez (D-New .Jersey) and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-New Hampshire) wrote in a letter to Blinken late last month. “We cannot lose sight of this central principle as we engage diplomatically on the pipeline.”

Biden looks to appoint special envoy to kill Russia-Germany energy pipeline - POLITICO

Hochstein led the US government’s implementation of energy sanctions on Iran, Russia, Venezuela, is a member of the Atlantic Council which has been highly critical of the pipeline project, is an expert in renewable energy and is formerly executive vp of a Houston based LNG company.

The long and the short of it is that Blinken doesn't want to be the guy who alone at DepState puts sanctions to Nord Stream 2 AG and the German bogus foundation that uses EUR 20m from Russia to enable equipment and supplies for the resumption of NS 2 SK construction.

Author of this Newsweek oped Ricky Gill is former Director for European Energy Security at the National Security Council in the White House and was Director for Russia.

He shows how the U.S. and NATO allies of the EU and Europe killing the Russo-German pipeline does two birds with one stone, ie, slays Russia and China in their welcoming host Germany against all of Europe and the West.

In this era of renewed great power competition it's not often that a single policy decision can hit both Russia and China, but the Nord Stream 2 pipeline presents that opportunity for Team Biden. For instance, we know that Vladimir Putin's hand-picked chief executive to run the pipeline is none other than Matthias Warnig. Warnig began his career behind the Iron Curtain as an East German intelligence officer in the Stasi. It was here that Warnig likely first met Putin. Putin and Warnig would use KGB and Stasi tradecraft to further their commercial ambitions and advance their careers. They're now using the same tactics to promote Russian geopolitical interests, enrich themselves and fragment Europe along energy lines, applying intelligence methods to complete Nord Stream 2. Nothing is off limits in pursuit of Putin's pet project, including attempts "to recruit German politicians to lobby" for Nord Stream and quietly recruiting spies across the European Union. Some have referred to this strategy as "Schroederization," referring to former German [SPD] chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.

Schroderovsky and Warnig.

The pipeline, and in particular its base of construction in the [German island] Port of Mukran, is the flame, and China is the moth. China is utilizing the port as a key part of its One Belt One Road initiative—the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) attempt to bring other countries into the CCP's geopolitical orbit. In that way, China uses infrastructure investments in much the same manner that Russia uses elite capture. That both Putin and Xi have their hooks in Mukran—and in Germany writ large—is cause for concern. It is now being co-opted by Putin and Xi to advance their brand of totalitarianism and economic coercion. If the West can sever these connections through a combination of sanctions and old-fashioned hard-nose diplomacy, it will be a win for human rights and Western values.

Biden Must Oppose the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline | Opinion (newsweek.com)

Warnig is Putin's executive director of Nord Stream 2 AG and Schroderovsky is Putin's chairman of the board of Nord Stream 2 AG shareholders. Schroderovsky hauls in EUR 600,000 annually in Moscow doing Putins energy and political bidding in Germany.

Germany is an immediate and significant Trojan Horse danger of Russia and China to NATO, EU and all of Europe, and against the United States which Russia and China want to drive out of Europe using their dedicated partner Germany as their base.

Indeed the Bundesmarine, ie, the German Navy has two corvettes in the construction area of NS 2 SK to protect the Russian construction flotilla currently operating there -- this is not what a NATO ally does in the presence of the Poland Navy and a UK tanker both of which are NATO allies opposed to the sinister and insidious pipeline.

The US is not able to provide stable amounts of energy. You cant provide for Texas but want secure one of the largest energy markets in the world? 😆

And I spiked the ball on you and this to begin with besides.

Also, what will you do, when the pipeline goes online? Cry?

I established long ago at the thread the U.S. posture is that Germany needs to diversify its energy sources, gas in particular.

Germany in fact lost at the EU in its opposition to the EU Gas Directive requiring that in energy supply the supplier and the distributor need to be two separate and independent entities, which screws Gazprom and Germany big time. The EU ruling characteristically and almost makes your precious pipeline a waste of everything for you two guys.

As proof U.S. hasn't any interest in transporting gas to Germany, Trump refused the corrupt LNG bribe offer by Berlin which also brings us back to your bogus OP and thread title. Last August Berlin offered in writing $1bn to build two planned LNG (floating) terminals if the U.S. would allow completion of NS 2 SK. Nothing came of it because Trump wouldn't bite which was a turnaround that took a bite out of Germany's corrupt Russian owned ass.

Yet you are back again to trying to say this is about US LNG to Germany.

Au contraire Rostocker, the U.S. opposition has always come from the national security and national defense community of the USA to include of course the Pentagon and by the bipartisan Congress which is especially fierce against it because Congress knows well of the new, ie, openly and shameless Russo-German Energy and Geostrategic Axis against NATO.

If you don't mind me asking, which is the least anti-American German party?

FDP i would say.

Until now, that would be so, with FDP free market pro business doctrines.

Presently however with the Greens closing consistently on the Union in the election polling to include voting in two states March 14, the Biden/Blinken administration and the Greens are finding a lot in common in respect of a European Green Deal, Russia, democratic values, the transatlantic relationship and the like. This is so while the U.S. and the FDP have never had much interaction overall or much of a one on one relationship.

It's an open secret in Washington Biden/Blinken favor the Greens who are anti pipeline and that condemn Russia as antithetical to democratic and Western classic liberal values.

Plus the Greens have the same kind of militancy about their issues domestically and globally as the U.S. has, which FDP has never connected to. For instance, while EU has 27 member states the Greens have recently favored a 28th European armed force of 8000 troops, tanks, artillery/missiles overseen by the EP with a commissioner of the force from among the membership of the EP. That is, a European army independent of any single nation state, controlled by the EP.

So while FDP is about corporate and business profits the Greens are about green and renewable energy and geostrategic issues of democracy, human rights and values etc.

The Axis Partners in Crime are sitting around now sweating it out.

The Yafimava guy quoted is Katja Yafimava, a senior research fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies that is pro pipeline...

Berlin, Moscow await next US steps on Nord Stream 2

Asked what are the next steps after Nord Stream 2 is completed in Danish waters and when is it supposed to come into operation, Yafimava said, “I think Nord Stream could finalize construction in 2021, but the start of operations appears more uncertain – subject to German NRA certification and whether the politics will be able to influence this independent entity’s decision – and could be anything between winter 2021-22 and winter 2023-24”.

Berlin, Moscow await next US steps on Nord Stream 2 | New Europe

The Greens will be in government by either date Rostocker and the Greens are supported by Biden/Blinken given the Greens opposition to the pipeline and also because of the commonality of global warming with Biden/Blinken and the Greens long record of hostility toward the anti democratic Russia. And against the Russia loving and Russia state captured German political parties in Berlin -- except for one political party in all of Germany, the Greens that singularly and alone remain sovereign German.

There is one little problem in your bullshit, the Greens are nullified in all east german states and can do nothing against the pipeline. :) the greens know that and Baerbock said in an interview last week she is against the pipeline. The journalist asked her 4 times if she will stop it...and she ran circles around it. Because she knows, she neither has the power nor the influence to do that.

The Greens could not even raise the budget for public broadcast by 0.89 cent, even so 15 of 16 states agreed. It took just one eastern german state, Sachsen -Anhalt, too block it.

Good luck in your attempt to bring all 5 east german states against a pipeline, which is fiercly supported from all 5 states. :D

Thüringen for example plans to block a Green Deam Project, to allow transit of an energy hub through Thüringen down to Bavaria. A green government would be blocked from day one in all their politics. Thats why Baerbock says, she will talk about the pipeline, talk. :)

He forgot to explain to you @BitterPill , that the Greens are fiercly anti american and even under Obama blocked the planned tradeagreement with USA and the EU. That the Greens see USA as war criminal. They are 2nd most anti american party, right after the Linke.

I just hope you aren't Linke else I'll have to set the irresistible power of MAGA upon you.

Im right conservative
You enjoy the MAGA mantle, and that is a good thing.

Kudos! MAGAs all around.

Aside from that, thanks for getting me interested in German politics. I like it and so appreciate you more than I would otherwise which, to be honest, isn't much on account of the whole MAGA thing.

I advised you already Rostocker the Greens and the Biden/Blinken administration have a great deal in common in respect of clean energy and renewables, a Green Deal for the EU and a Green Deal for the USA. And much else such as the Green proposed 28th European Army controlled by the European Parliament that is independent of any single nation state.

The existing Russo-German Axis of elites accept instead Gazprom and other Russian energy giants leaving their trail of devastating pollution across Russia and into the Arctic. Santa who lives in Canada (and who summers in Finland) has to be displeased Rostocker.

Russian junk vessels are "decimating" the Baltic ecosystem as they crash lay pipe with their inferior equipment, officers and crews in the mad rush to try endlessly to reach your landfall in Germany.

I reiterate besides the next 5 months at the construction site are going to be heavy. Biden is in the process of appointing his new one man pipeline wrecking crew of Amos Hockstein who the Russian FM Lavrov said yesterday is going to "travel and threaten everyone." That means German firms too Rostocker. Indeed Hockstein who implemented sanctions against Iran, Russia, Venezuela among others has new sanctions coming against "everyone" to back him up.

By the way, about this russian "inferior equipmen", weren't you the one, who wrote a few years ago that the Russians wouldn't be able to build a bridge to the Crimea?

By the way, about this russian "inferior equipmen", weren't you the one, who wrote a few years ago that the Russians wouldn't be able to build a bridge to the Crimea?

I've had nothing to say about the Russians building a bridge to Crimea.

Nothing.

In this matter I'm talking about Russian Rustbuckets at sea trying desperately and frantically to complete the NS 2 SK pipeline to its intended yet unrealized landfall in Putin's Germany.

As to Russian technology and Crimea, the water supply of Crimea remains in Ukraine and Ukraine controls it. Which means Russian occupied Crimea is going dry fast and faster by the day. Your fancy Putin Fanboy bridge does nothing to relieve or alleviate that.

With the Crimea water supply all but dried up by Ukraine the large influx of Russians have sucked up the ground water too while water conservation requirements have also left residents high and dry. Water in Crimea has become harder to come by than money.

Speaking of which it's hugely expensive -- and technologically beyond the Russians -- to construct aqueducts from way back in Russia proper all the way over to Ukraine which is why Khrushchev returned Crimea to Ukraine in the 1950s to begin with. Even then the Soviet Russian numbnuts had enough sense not to take on a challenge that was impossible for 'em to meet financially and technologically.

Putin the ideologue doesn't have that sense in this regard. The consequence is that Crimea residents are ready to support whoever will provide 'em with the water they need desperately at this point, which is Ukraine. All of which reminds us that if Putin and the Putin Fanboyz had a brain they could be dangerous. Until then, not, and until then remains a long way off yet.
