27,000 people go to the Sanders rally in NY last night.

What's with these people flocking to the old fart from Brooklyn who moved to Vermont? I just do not get it. The guy never really did a lot for anyone while holding out in the Senate---did he even ever hire a Black person? And, now he is the darling of the left.

Who even moves to Vermont except white flighters?

He's promising all sorts of free stuff. The lazy jackoffs in America love politicians who offer free stuff.

What Sanders taught me is that an excellent way to troll democrats is to run as a democrat and out free stuff everyone else. When you end up winning you can do the exact opposite and get rid of free stuff.

When Republican flock to Trump it's because Republicans are revolting against the 'man', they are fighters and they had enough of the political 'establishment'. When Dems turn to someone who bucks the establishment it's because they 'want free stuff'.

Anyway there's almost 19 mil people in NY, 8 mil in NYC. 27,000 is a nice number for the primaries. But in the grand scheme of elections and politics it isn't spectacular.

It cant be that hard to understand. He is a populist. Everything he says is meant to play to a populist agenda, regardless of the lack of substance. lord knows people love A-the promise of free **** and B-blaming their own failings and miserable existence on the rich and successful.

Besides...there are lots of paid protests being organized this whole week. Why not send some of them to see Bernie?

he's never been in a position to hire anyone... black or white... or other.

he's a darling of the left because his populist rhetoric is what they want to hear... and they like socialism, not capitalism.( something they've denied for decades)

Sanders isn't just the "darling" of the left; he genuinely believes in far left ideology.

The reason he couldn't do much in the Senate is that, at the time, he didn't have the votes to push his agenda.

I think people supporting Trump are every bit as crazy as those supporting Sanders. Albeit for different reasons.

He'll have even less support as president...if by some miracle he manages to win that is.

Why do you keep saying white people? What's wrong with white people?

When a state is 98% white...it does raise an eyebrow, especially when 10% of that state's prison population is black. lol...freaking Vermont is a worse place to be black than is Texas.

Just read the article.

I read it a while back. It's an old article. When one starts with a hackish mentality, one can always find supporting garbage to cherry pick through.

btw... what's with you and the race-oriented threads lately?

Not if the pubbies lose both the House and Senate.

Of course, that's a bit unlikely, but not impossible if the Sanderistas turn out in large enough numbers.

I like the insinuation that Hillary is somehow more "liked" in republican circles than Bernie. I think the stonewalling the repubs gave Obama will look like a love-fest compared to the way they will treat Hillary. Which IMO... we can expect Hillary to cave with "triangulation" politics and she will sign the TPP along with other free trade agreements and open up public lands for more drilling. You heard it here first.

I doubt Hillary will cave. Instead, I expect the claws to come out.

The GOP is wounded. So, my guess is Hillary, like me, smells blood in the water. Time to devour the Republicans.

lol...Sanders isn't even a Democrat. He won't even get their support. Hillary, OTOH, will be able to rally the troops. And, unlike Obama, she'll probably even be able to pull in some Republicans.
