I didn't read your linked article but I'm assuming it didn't account for Bloomberg's spending. He has said he's prepared to spend $2 billion on his own or another dem nominee.

She lost because of the Electoral College...But won the popular vote..
You and I won’t live to see that toothpaste go back in the tube, imo.

That’s obscene, regardless of party!
I wish it was true but sadly I've heard that Trump is out raising the Democrats. Donald Trump is Trouncing Democrats in 2020 Fundraising

I'm posting this here GPD rather BN, due to it striking me as more of an analytic piece.
I've had posters here post figures showing Trump raising more than Biden or some other Dem nominee, as part of their arguments. But that always struck me as an incorrect argument, because to claim 'Trump is out-raising a specific candidate' does not reflect that the majority of Dem donors may unite in their support of the eventual nominee. In other words, how much are those supporting Dem candidates giving vs those supporting Trump?
Well, just now, I happened to stumble across my OP article. And it was an eye-opener. If we take the article at its face value, it seems the Dems are clobbering Trump in fundraising by a factor of 3X in total, and by a factor of nearly 7X in individual contributions. I haven't done any further research or verification, but just thought I'd post the article 'as is' here in GPD.
A sad aside:
While money may possibly be a sign of support or energy for a candidate, I personally am disgusted that we even have to think in terms of money rather than democracy. If it were up to me, I'd drastically get money out of our political/electoral process.
Which is equivalent to saying that although the Yankees beat the Blue Jays 4 to 1, the Blue Jays got more hits, therefore the Blue Jays should have won.

Yeah, that pesky EC!
And btw, no one "wins" the Presidency or wins anything by popular vote. It's a data point. A metric. A statistic. We are still a Representative Republic.
Darn those Founding Fathers and their infinite wisdom about the tyranny of the majority!
Individually yes, but as a group they are raising far more than Trump. When you're the incumbent you only give your party members one guy to donate to while the challengers have many options. According to open secrets.org the democrats are raising far more money then the republicans.

A Republic is still a form of Democracy. The only thing worth of note from the Founding Fathers is that even they believed that the Constitution should be revised and amended to solve for either unseen or new issues. Like say, a Political party hijacking the country to put absolute dirtbags in lifetime positions.
How much of that Democratic money is being used to win a nomination, versus Trump already using his money to win a general election. Notice the free exposure trump gets at these football games, and his rallies, with the Super Bowl yet to come.
While Democratic candidates waste their money, money posters are talking about in this thread, in states like Iowa and South Carolina they won’t win, trump is on Air Force One with Rallies in swing states like Wisconsin and Ohio.
At this moment, I’d say trump will win the popular vote and the EC. It’s still my belief that D’s will have and actually need a brokered convention.
LOL, the FFs never intended the Constitution be a buffet, or hacked up with a machete by Leftists who think the people's vote doesn't matter.
