Thanks, Elon!

Don't like Musk?
There are likely 100's of small businesses that only exist as a result of government contracts. I may be wrong, but SpaceX probably would/could exist without need of government contracts.
It would never have existed if not for government funding and experts from NASA.

Same for Tesla...it would never have gotten so big if it was not for massive government subsidies.

Yes. Thankyou Elon. Starlink and SpaceX are 90% of Trump's promised missile defense system.

Never have the monoed elite fought so hard and so successfully to ensure their wealth and privilege faces the fewest possible checks and balances.

I guess we can congratulate the monied elite on making their wealth transfer more efficient, unless our MAGA friends can demonstrate how any of this will affect their financial situation.

Musk has been selling carbon credits to his competitors in Europe. These credits are based on sales, and with sales crashing, this is another line item that will see a drastic decrease.

In Q4 2024 alone, Tesla earned $692 million from selling regulatory credits or carbon credits, accounting for nearly 30% of its quarterly net income of $2.33 billion.

More impressively, the company’s total carbon credit revenue for 2024 surged to $2.76 billion, marking a 54% year-over-year increase from $1.79 billion in 2023. This substantial boost underscores the ongoing demand for emissions credits as legacy automakers struggle to meet regulatory targets.

Smoke and mirrors. Tesla is selling tax credits.

It still amazes me that some people are still buying what Musk is selling hook, line, sinker and a foot of pole.

There's only two, and both owned by Musk?

Small businesses that exist solely as a result of government are a problem, but huge coordinations that do the same, aren't a problem?
Thinking of businesses that wouldn't be noticed if they disappeared, but this thread topic appears to be about Elon Musk.

Doge has been a revelation. It's only the beginning of the phase. We have a lot more useless departments to cut.

Why have you not mentioned members of Congress? After all Congress passes the spending Bills for the President to sign or veto.

Ever wonder if it is such a "revelation" why President Trump and other past President's with Congressional approval spend more than the federal government brought in?
Don't recall you complaining much during Trump's first term.

imo, DOGE is taking the wrong approach with the recommended cuts. DOGE has not asked for any program reviews and justification reports for the money the Department/Agency have.

I also am not so sure of Musk and his recording keeping in his own companies. Wonder what caused 1.4 Billion to go missing for Tesla?

But you are fine with 3 million a week for golf.
Again, lmao at MAGA stupidity. Congrats!

edolf is playing the piss millions of people off all of the time for his amusement game. I think that's a bad idea.

A shock to the system is a good thing, even if that means a temporary recession.

That will cover less than a single percent of Trump's tax cuts for the rich.

A very good thing, for other people.

The far right has been wanting a recession for a while now. I think that they might get it.

It's basically: "Madam, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you. The mole on your cheek has all the markings of a melanoma. But there's a solution. We will simply cut off your entire upper torso."

Sure wish he'd "cut" those grocery prices....and rents.

Any word on the delay with that?

"A shock to the system is good....even if it brings recession."

LOL. Tough to know what to say to such trumpian nonsense.

Do you remember the last recession?
