This morning on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo Maria ripped Dem Congressman David Cicilline to shreds. He thought he was going to stroll onto that show with his leftist propaganda talking points, but she was sharp as a tack and caught him in every lie. When the video is available I will post it.

One big lie: The Republican tax cut mostly went to the rich, the top 1% earners. What he calls the rich the top 1% earners is actually corporations, and it was those business tax cuts that are creating so many jobs. So he says he wants to raise the taxes, what he wants to really do is raise the corporate tax rate, and thus destroy all the jobs that have been created, just like Trump warned us about. What an absolute idiot. Thank God the Senate will never let that happen.

Video to come with more goodies.

The story was just on so I cannot post this in the Mainstream Media section, but I will when it is available online.

Maria is one of the most competent reporters on television or anywhere else. And you/she are right that most of the tax cuts to the 'rich' went to businesses, many/most of which have passed on their tax savings to their work force in the form of bonuses, wage increases, or restoration of benefits that they had to discontinue due to oppressive Obamacare regulation. And removal of oppressive and onerous regulations are allowing businesses to again plan expansions that will create new jobs, are again offering more full time jobs instead of the part time jobs they were forced to go to due to Obamacare mandates, and many businesses who had moved offshore somewhere to avoid oppressive taxes and regulation are now coming back.

Great post. Thanks for that.

The Democrats are going to screw the pooch.

The Democrats are going to screw the pooch.

Would seem so. Their extremist, hard-leftist base are going to drag the entire party too far to the left, where the bell curve shows there are fewer votes.

At the same time, the Democrat party continues to shoot itself in both of its own feet, alienating voter bases they would need, the latest victim are white women.

If the Republicans are smart, they'll reach out and connect with these suburban white women, putting a real squeeze on the Democrat party's voter bases. But it might be unreasonable to expect the Republican party to be that smart, save one. Cocaine Mitch has already recognized this. Hope the rest of them listen to him.

Inconvenient facts for the right wingers:

1. The new tax rates favor businesses and the wealthy disproportionately from average Americans.

2. Corporate savings from the new tax law primarily go to shareholders and executives, with a small fraction trickling down to employees.

3. The tax laws are permanent for businesses, but have a sunset clause for everyone else.

While it is true that big business is investing in expansion, which means more jobs, they are also pocketing a much bigger piece of the pie for themselves. No altruistic motives there.

Some of you are obviously happy accepting crumbs left over from the new tax law big corporation feast, but the rest of Americans aren’t satisfied and want equity from our government.

Please name one Federal tax rate change that was ever permanent.

FALSE. Fake News.

2. Corporate savings from the new tax law primarily go to shareholders and executives, with a small fraction trickling down to employees.

What they go to is creating new jobs. Thus thanks to Trump, we have the lowest unemployment in almost 50 years. The Dems want to destroy those jobs.

3. The tax laws are permanent for businesses, but have a sunset clause for everyone else.

Well, let's see if your socialist brigade is willing to make them permanent.

Crumbs. LOL. The lowest unemployment rates in almost 50 year. Crumbs? You would do well not to parrot that ignorant old hag Pelosi and her "crumbs" rant.

The Democrats are going to screw the pooch.

They will try but we still have the Senate and the President's veto pen, so if the Republicans would just focus on what is most important to VOTERS, not just those who contribute to their campaigns, and will start communicating the good things that are happening and ignoring the bad behavior of the Democrats, we are going to be okay for another two years--another six years if President Trump is re-elected.

Geezus ...talk about two people talking past each other.

Look Ms Wonderful Reporter, the President himself (Your guy Ms Wonderful, obviously) has said he would consider plans that rolled back the corp tax rate reduction. That for Trump the omnipotent is one heck of an admission. The Corp tax break WAS too steep and even Trump now knows it. They should have rolled it back to a nominal 25-26% at most, not a nominal 21%. If she had framed her question that way, she would have had an interview instead of a pissing contest.

Then on the other side of that "interview" whatever you want to call that abortion, you have Congressman Bunkybunk dodging all over the map. in light of Trump's most recent comment regarding taxes that was a ridiculously easy question to answer, utterly gooned up by Congressman Bunkybunk. What else is new.

FALSE. Fake News.
Saying “fake news” doesn’t work for Trump and it doesn’t work for you.
What they go to is creating new jobs. Thus thanks to Trump, we have the lowest unemployment in almost 50 years. The Dems want to destroy those jobs.
The tax breaks do help with increasing available jobs (as I’ve already said) and big business/the wealthiest gain massively disproportionate gains.
Well, let's see if your socialist brigade is willing to make them permanent.
Huh?
Crumbs. LOL. The lowest unemployment rates in almost 50 year. Crumbs? You would do well not to parrot that ignorant old hag Pelosi and her "crumbs" rant.
Both lower unemployment and disproportional benefits can happen (and in this case, do) simultaneously, genius.

Saying “fake news” doesn’t work for Trump and it doesn’t work for you........

Well, Trump got elected and you did not. I'd say it works for both of us.

Go spread your propaganda lies to some leftist boob who will believe them. I'm not the one.

No, you’re a whole different kind of “believer”.

Did the text of the bill say permanent, or do you wait for someone in the news to tell you everything?
Ha ... Ha ... Are you always so flippant, or do you save it for when you don’t have an adult response?

Most things I hear/read about I investigate for myself, utilizing multiple sources to glean the likely truth. Very long, boring tax proposals I trust WSJ and a few others to give me the bottom line.

Based on your snarky response am I to believe you have read the tax law in it’s entirety? And if so, please provide a link and direction to where it says the huge corporate tax break ends. Thanks.

Post #19 started the snark. While my post #21 was intended as such, you went ahead and provided proof of its accuracy.

Here you go, here is my proof that no tax cuts are permanent: Article I, Section 8, Clause 1, and the 16th Amendment clearly define that there is nothing permanent in the tax code.

You should point this out to Senate Republicans who recently voted for the permanent tax break.
