Yeah, I know. It's always the ones you expect.

"In the ideological crucible of the Texas Capitol, few Republicans forged a clearer line between policy and moral mission than Rep. Giovanni Capriglione.

...

First elected in 2012, the Southlake lawmaker cultivated a reputation as both culture warrior and procedural purist. As reported by the Texas Tribune, Houston Chronicle, and San Antonio Current, he authored Texas’ 2021 “trigger ban,” which outlawed nearly all abortions following the fall of Roe v. Wade, and helped craft the six-week ban that preceded it.

...

Her most explosive allegation was that Capriglione, the very lawmaker who authored Texas’ abortion trigger ban, had quietly funded multiple abortions during the course of their affair.

Capriglione responded to the claims later that day, issuing a statement in which he acknowledged the affair, describing it as “selfish” and “not something I’m proud of.” He thanked his wife and family for forgiving him. But he rejected the abortion allegations unequivocally, calling them “categorically false and easily disproven.” In his words: “I have never, nor would I ever, pay for an abortion.”

"On July 25, 2025, the conservative site Current Revolt published a 25-minute video interview with a woman identifying herself as Alex Grace. In calm but pointed terms, she alleged a 17-year clandestine relationship with Rep. Giovanni Capriglione—beginning in 2004, when she was 18 and working as an exotic dancer in North Texas. The man she described was not just a patron but a figure of influence in her life, offering both emotional encouragement and financial support."

Abortion bans are just one more way our Republican controlled government makes war on the poor. Everyone who doesn't have their head way up their own ass knows that the wealthy have never had, and will never have, any problem getting a fast safe abortion on demand. When I was a young man, before Roe v. Wade, they used the expression, "She went on a ski trip to the Alps".

This kind of exposes some ugly reality about abortion that people don't want to admit to but I think it's something we need to discuss. How many women are coerced into getting this it's got to happen I mean this dude's probably doing this.

Been saying the same thing since this started. The abortion bans only apply to women who can't afford to travel. It's just another front on the MAGA war on the poor.

"Exotic Dancer?"

That's a fancy way to say "Stripper".

This is the best you can come up with, the word of a stripper? You pay a stripper enough money, and she'll tell you anything you want to hear.

Every accusation is a confession with the Christian right.

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

I'll have to take your word for it. I don't have your experience.
I take it that in your experience strippers are prostitutes.

You know that corrupt Ken Paxton isn't going to do anything.
This guy has a job as representative for life.
Abortions are only bad for liberals.

If we wantedto do away with all politically correct speak the headline would have read...

"Cheating Republican politician who canceled abortion rights for all women in Texas is caught cheating with a stripper and paid for her abortions"

It's incredibly hypocritical as well, since they demand the women produce the kid...and then make every attempt to reduce or eliminate the public assistance, daycare subsidies, etc that they need to raise the kid.

Are they stupid or just giant self-righteous hypocrites? Or lying about actually being "pro-life" and are only "pro-fetus?" Certainly there's little humane about their attitudes.

Why does it matter? Please explain this further.

First hand experience?

Honestly, what else did anyone expect? Conservatives 100% have, or pay for, abortions. Just like liberals do.

My conservative Christian friend had an abortion years ago. She joked about it at the time. She said she was going to have it "hoovered." Today she beats the MAGA drum because we are losing our morality in this nation. No, not kidding. She considers her abortion as well thought-out...you know, not like liberals' abortions. (????) So for her it was okay and justified.

Even the number of conservatives who admit to having an abortion approaches the number of liberals who also admit to it; which means likely there are a whole lot more conservatives and/or MAGAs who have had one but don't want to admit to it.

"We're the party of values" is such bullshit. "We're the party who wants to make you think you have better values because you 'made a serious decision' and 'haven't had 10 abortions like all liberal women do, you've only had maybe one abortion' " is more like it.

Those in power are going to get rid of their "little problem" one way or another. It's only other people who are "murdering precious lives." Not them. Not ever. Not the thousands upon thousands upon thousands of them per year in the U.S. who have one, or caused the pregnancy and pay for one. THEIR abortion is justified. Somehow. But nobody else should get one. Because those other people are...worse? Somehow?

Welcome to the GOP, they never change, at least in that way.

Some of them are

they are all something you'd find on the bottom of your shoe.

Vs..,a politician? And why would a stripper automatically mean she's not credible? Do you often associate sex jobs with being a liar but think politicians are known for their candor?
