(Texas) DPS Reaches Settlement In Roadside Cavity Search Lawsuit

Trooper Kelly Helleson was fired earlier this year and has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of official oppression. If convicted, she would have to register as a sex offender.

This is the most surprising thing as we rarely hold cops accountable for their crimes.

This is a disgrace. Both of these troopers should lose their jobs, pension, and do prison time. No police officer should be allowed to perform a cavity search on the pretense of "smelling marijuana." This is America, and these two rogue cops just don't get it. And I do not care that they served in the armed forces. Apparently, neither of them ever once understood what they were fighting for.
