Tennessee voting rights law: Governor signs bill penalizing some protesters with felony and loss of voting rights - CNNPolitics

Tennessee Law Could Strip Protesters of Voting Rights | Law & Crime

Folks, this is what fascism looks like...

In this one bill, Tennessee Republicans have violated the first, fifth, fourteenth, & fifteenth Amendments.

Why do Republicans and Trump supporters hate democracy?

Why do Republicans and Trump supporters hate the Constitution?

Hopefully It's too late to convict before the election.
Or do you lose the right to vote by being in jail awaiting trial on a felony charge?

They haven't violated a single aspect of the Constitution. If the prior law was legal then this law is legal as well BTW.

Is it a hate of democracy or a leader enforcing limitations so it doesn't end up like Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, New York City and many of the other Democrat lead states and metropolitan areas which have quickly evolved into a quagmire of chaos and leaderless vicinities?

So how does one justify changing a law that was deemed to be a misdomenor to a felony? Somehow I believe this law is not going to stand for long once the courts hear the arguments.

Under the circumstances of your hypothetical, law enforcement in Tennessee would just as easily be able to maintain peace if the crime in question remained a misdemeanor. It's an overreaction intended to suppress dissent.

There is already legislation in place to charge violators with misdemeanors for camping on state property and violators don't really seem to care. It discourages individuals from camping on state property, it requires a minimum 45 day hold if one is convicted of rioting, requires restitution for damaging state property and increases fines for obstructing emergency vehicles. Why would Tennessee want to become the next ****hole like Portland or Seattle? Kudos for enacting leadership unlike many Democrat led municipalities.

Next week, Republicans will be calling for a return to the Sedition Acts. They make simply being a Leftist an illegal act.
