The police held a new press conference today, during which many new details emerged:
* the killer went into the school toilet with a backpack (where he carried his guns) and posted a picture of himself in the toilet on "X" before he started the shooting (I have seen the picture, but won't post it).
* the school had an amok/rampage training just days before the actual shooting, so the teachers and students knew exactly what to do and barricaded/locked the classroom doors after the first shots.
* because of that, the killer had to spend time to shoot open classroom doors and locks and remove cupboards that blocked the way into the classrooms.
* because of this, the shooting took "only" 6-7 minutes. After 6-7 minutes, police already entered the school building and when the killer heard the sirens, he went to the toilet again and killed himself.
* because of this (and the fact that he spent 10 years preparing to kill students by playing online shooter games like Counterstrike etc. and 4 months on a shooting range) police think that the death toll could have been FAR higher in the 20s or 30s, if there was not an amok/rampage test in the days before and barricades were not as effective.
Now, there are 10 people dead (9 young ones and a teacher) and 11 heavily injured ... but thankfully it wasn't far worse.
The killer shot a total of 51 bullets, 50 at victims and 1 to kill himself. Since 21 people are dead or heavily injured, almost every 2nd bullet hit. Probably even more, because many probably were hit several times.
He also had several additional rounds of ammo in his backpack.
Police also said he had a headset on, when they found his dead corpse at the toilet. But it was just a regular headset for music or to dampen sounds, not to livestream the shooting.
