I have a Sony LCD television that when it turns on, will only stay on for a few seconds. I have already pulled the front and back panels off, cleaned and dusted, unplugged and plugged back in, and checked the lightbulb. Does any body know what could be the problem?

If you are within warranty--Get rid of it!!

I got a new LCD tv and the same thing happened until it just wouldn't turn on at all. I was within like 2 days of the store warranty and I just told them to give me my money back. I asked how much, if I didn't have a warranty, it would have cost to fix it and it was like just as much as I had just paid for it 3 months ago. From all the reviews and my experience those TV's aren't reliable. Just my opinion though, they probably work fine for others though.

Thanks americanwoman, but I didn't buy the warranty when I purchased the TV. I got it like 2 years ago. It gets me mad, I paid almost $3,000 for this tv, and I had this problem before. I unplugged it then plugged it back in and it worked fine. Just recently it started up again.
