in. The odds are against him, but time will tell.

Quite impressive. Really takes out all the lofty prices for parts and other basic research of governmentally funded "huge" billion dollar contracts.

Also a very simple idea.
 
Pretty impressive. But from a practical perspective, the problem still remains that fusion consumes more energy than it produces. I'd say we're still a couple decades away from having EFFICIENT fusion power.

There's the key... People have been setting off fusion reactions for quite some time now, but in every case, they use more energy than they produce. I admire the kids ability to do this on such a small budget, but in order for this to mean something, he's got to come up with a positive energy flow (and I'm not talking about "auras" or any crap like that :mrgreen: ).
