Ted Cruz in middle of GOP Civil War

Let the GOP play around with Medicare and watch what happens. ;)

I couldn't ask for more for Cornyn, though I think he is normal for Repubs.
Dems have some rising stars in Texas who are not quite ready for prime time.
Cruz has made many Repub enemies in both chambers.
Didn't he barely win a 3-way primary in nefarious ways?
Let him shake things up. Hell, the Reps need it. I have absolutely no problem with what he is doing. Voted for him last time, if he keeps going, I will definitely vote for him in 5 years.

If Cornyn caves in and doesn't support Cruz, well, we will be seeing him in next years primaries.

The words being used against Ted Cruz by fellow Republicans say it all.
And those are the ones on-record.

Its just a matter of time before the Republicans get smart and shoot the guy. The party of Lincoln, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Reagan (and... Coolidge, Harding, Hoover, Nixon and GW Bush????) doesn't need to be known by a clown juggling the middle of the three ring circus.

As I've been saying for a while, plaster Cruz"s face all over the Republican Senate candidates faces--along with Akin, Mourdock, Angle and that witch as reminders.
And now we must pray for SUPER-Loon Paul Broun to win the GA primary.

with no proof to back up an attack on a hypothetical...
older Cons know better than this...

It appears that Cruz's cohort, Sen. Mike Lee may be on his way out in the next election....

"....Lee the martyr has a way for all those fellow Americans to help him stand up for truth, justice and the American way: Give him money.

"I need your help to fight back against this campaign of dishonesty and deceit. If we let them get away with this, we really could lose this fight to defund Obamacare."

That’s where he says you need to send him $25, $35, $50, $100, $250, "or whatever you can afford to my campaign right away."

He doesn’t explain how donating to a campaign that will be waged for his political survival in three years will help defeat Obamacare now, unless perhaps he intends to use the money to bribe other senators with campaign contributions to vote on some manipulation to separate Obamacare from the rest of the budget and then not fund it.

The fact is, he’s not even close to getting that kind of support, even from his own party. But these continued pleas for money indicate a growing paranoia about his effectiveness, his relevance and his political survival....<snip>...

Lee’s rash pleas for money and his continued barking at the moon about Obamacare might best be explained this way:

There is growing talk in Republican circles about Lee getting a serious challenge in the Republican Party when he runs for re-election in 2016.

He reportedly approached former Republican State Chairman Thomas Wright at the State GOP Convention and asked him point blank if Wright planned to run against him. Wright, reportedly, did not give him a definitive answer.

Lee, as of his last campaign finance report in June, had about $73,000 in his campaign fund and $58,000 in debts. Since 2009, his campaign has raised about $2.4 million and spent about $2.2 million.

To put that in context, Utah’s other senator, Orrin Hatch, has $780,000 in his campaign account with no debt. From 2007 to 2012, he raised $11.5 million.....read...."
Rolly: Lee

Ahhh, that is music to my ears.

Your from Il, so what you expect, like or dislike has no bearing upon Cornyn or Cruz. Their futures being Senators is up the People of Texas. If Il has open primaries, then you might get a say in the nomination process for the Rep Candidate for President. However, since you are a regressive, I doubt they would care what you or your fellow regressive think about them in a Presidential race. Regressives are too far from center to be swing votes, and all the campaigning is to get those votes, not die-hards from either side.

One does not have to be "rightwing" to dislike liberals, regressives or other socialist types. Other means Other. I know who Rush is, but never actually listened to him, the other two, I've heard their names but don't really know who they are.

Point out who is a politician that you consider a "regressive"....... tending to regress.:2wave:

Cruz has removed himself from any thought as POTUS. Dems are just against him. Fellow Repubs now despise him. Cruz has all but guaranteed a heavyweight match betwee R. Paul and C. Christie for the 2016 GOP title.

After Obama stays in office for another 1,000 years, amirite? :p

My bad--thank goodness for "edit" here at DP.
Though the 1,000 years does feed one of the many Repub lies about Obama.

The only Repub that has a chance of winning the White House...so far, is Christie. The teabag zombies are sand bagging his chance by refusing to pay the bills that they VOTED FOR.I say go for it.:2wave:

Every time they try to screw with Medicare, they can kiss Florida's electoral votes goodbye... no matter how much voter caging they do down there.

Indeed. You're correct, Sir. ;)
