I downloaded some .rar files (Rosetta Stone) but cannot extract and install them. My OS is Windows Vista. Any help would be appreciated.

Almost sure it is not a rar file. It is an ISO or similar CD/DVD image. You need a cd/DVD drive emulator (MagicDisc for example) to mount it to see what is on it.

Winrar for some reason likes to see ISO and similar CD/DVD image files as one of its own but it cant open it.

Winrar is the program

Oh, I forgot 7zip is also legally free and will unpack a lot more than just .rar files.

I already have the image mounting program. Its just that once I unzip the files they are still not in a useable format for the image mounting program (daemon tools lite in this case).
