PARADISE, Calif. (Reuters) - Search teams will fan out across the charred landscape of Paradise, California looking for human remains on Tuesday as authorities prepare for a rise in the deathcount from the state’s deadliest wildfire.

The “Camp Fire” blaze still raging in northern California has killed at least 42 people. Another 228 have been listed as missing, Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said.

Another two people died in the separate Woolsey Fire that has destroyed 435 structures and displaced about 200,000 people in the mountains and foothills near Southern California’s Malibu coast, west of Los Angeles.

And Trump wants to cut off federal funding in support of fighting these fires.

You started 2 threads in one minute, this being one of those. For this one you did not even post 1 full sentence.

As for the topic, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. California does not manage forests well or safely.

Its not Trump or the fed's fault, we (as in California) do such a poor job at managing forests.

Well, we can never let a good crisis go to waste, ya know. ;)

To your second point, California doesn't manage anything very well; liberals.

classical liberalism has nothing to do with liberalism.

Open a book in between posting and see for yourself.

To differentiate between the two, I refer to one being a classic liberal who reflect the founders and the others as welfare liberals who look to the Federal government for all their needs.

trump tweets that the bushfires are due to incompetent forest management. He has no evidence of this but decides to exploit the tragedy to attack the mainly liberal Californians.

And sure enough the trump supporters in this forum have accepted his tweet as gospel and are spreading the BS.

I believe a full investigation is warranted. It may be forest management, climate change, arson or something else that caused these tragic bushfires.

Now is not the time to attack liberals just because trump tweets it....all the frigging time.

Classical liberalism vs. liberalism
Individualism vs. collectivism.
Self-reliance vs. dependency
Liberal speech for all vs. speech for some
Individual thought vs. group think

It is pretty well known among Californians that get out into the wilderness, or that know fire fighters, that our forests are grossly mismanaged.
