Dear Mr. Lincoln

We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don’t cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement’.

The tea party position to “end the bailouts” for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn’t that what we want all Coloreds to strive for? What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.

And the ridiculous idea of “reduce[ing] the size and intrusiveness of government.” What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!

The racist tea parties also demand that the government “stop the out of control spending.” Again, they directly target Colored People. That means we Colored People would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government “stop raising our taxes.” That is outrageous! How will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Sincerely

Precious Ben Jealous, Tom’s Nephew National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Head Colored Person

Tea Party Leader Mocks NAACP "Coloreds" In Online Screed | Political Correction

The NAACP has done nothing but accuse the Tea Party of racism. This is a clear satire of the situation. 'Colored People' is not a racist phrase, it's just not the current term most blacks refer to themselves as (actually many of them call eachother the 'N-Word', but that's for another argument I guess). The black community repeatedly changes what they want to be called, black, brown, colored, Afro-American, African-American etc. Pick one!!!

The NAACP is kind of like the boy who cried wolf if you ask me. Remember when they called out Halmark for being racist? (See Here: YouTube - NAACP calls Hallmark "Black Holes" graduation card racist AND, it's from ABC a nice centered, non-biased media reporting outlet...right).

So I take it you missed the stereotypes about not wanting to work, wanting to buy televisions with other peoples' money, and wanting to become slaves again?

Being racist while calling someone racist still leaves you a racist. Even if you're right.

yeah and all the anti war protestors are in agreement with some asswipe I saw outside of Fort Knox as my green beret nephew was getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan holding a sign saying "I hope your husband comes back home in a body bag"

and then we have all those scummy SEIU or is it SIEU union thugs as well

the fact is the MSM is far more likely to fixate on some redneck racist in a tea party rally then some racist black or union thug in some anti GOP rally

I am sure that some of the tea party has racists. there are plenty of people who believe that alot of our tax dollars are wasted on black welfare, and black poverty and black crime and black illegitimate children. And they would be right -racist or not. any group that opposes government wasteful spending is going to be at least somewhat opposed to a group that often appears to be using lots of government resources-be it jail space or emergency room care.

I will also admit that SOME who oppose affirmative action are racist. after all, if affirmative action seems to be pro-black, by definition those who are anti black would oppose it, ( of course, some of us believe that the most racist thing you can do is to support affirmative action since it screws whites in the short term and blacks down the road)

but the bottom line is-blacks are perceived-and not entirely unfairly-as being as a group net tax consumers and those who dont like blacks will gravitate towards any organization that takes a stand that appears to be anti tax consumer

He was referring to the NAACP, not all blacks. The NAACP is a racist organization that wants that type of stuff as compensation.

No, he was referring to every black person. He was invoking racist stereotypes while talking about a group of people of that race. Reread the letter. He was clearly speaking about all black people. He is a racist.

He also called Allah a "terrorist monkey god," apparently not realizing that Christians and Jews actually worship the same entity.

No he was not targetting all black people.

And I'd like a source on the "terrorist monkey god" comment. I seem to remember certain ignorant "anti-Palin" voters also alleging that it was HER who said she could see Russia from her house.

allah's a myth so whether he is a chimp or a bomb throwing jihadist really doesn't matter to me

RWNJ is going to love me for this. For people like Deuce who define an entire party by a few nutjobs.....try to explain this.

Candidate embraces Tea Party | KETK

When the nutjobs are the party leaders, that is the impression that one will give. And for the record, I have stated many times that I do not think that all, or even a majority, of Tea Partiers are racists.

Then why did you vote that way? You voted "comprised predominantly of racists." Then in the same thread you say "And for the record, I have stated many times that I do not think that all, or even a majority, of Tea Partiers are racists".

C'mon dude, for real, WTF?

As I already explained, that was in error. Lining up several similarly worded options in a row can lead to that.

So can poor reading skills, laziness, conclusion-jumping, carelessness and other things. I'll assume it was not the former so probably one of the latter. The Tea Party DOES NOT condone racism. Do a minority in the Tea Party, most definitely. However, if someone wants to associate themselves with the Tea Party by saying, "I'm a Tea Party member," we don't have the power to stop them from associating with the Tea Party. We don't condone their racist tendencies. Racism IS NOT something the Tea Party actively or (inactively) speaks out in favor of.

I was originally pissed off by your vote, but if it truly was an accident, then so be it. Perhaps a bit more attentiveness next time?

Thanks, dontworrybehappy, great example!!

And as for your own attentiveness, I shouldn't need to explain a second time that it was an error :)

Perhaps my attentiveness is poorer than I thought. I can't find where you admitted it was an error until this page.

who said you all were rich? lmao.

:) Nancy Pelosi, as i recall. you may remember the accusation that we were all wearing brooks brothers' suits?

Nope, it appears the poor attentiveness came from me. I clearly recall typing out that the vote was in error several pages back. Yet it's not there. I am not good at posting, apparently.

edit: Or I was hallucinating at the time.

Comparing Obama to Hitler is distasteful and I wish they'd stop it. However, was it racist when it was done to Bush?
I didn't see anything anti-semetic. They weren't insulting jews in my opinion.
Whenever asked to show where the Tea Party is racist we are directed to the Joker signs, Hitler signs, socialist, marxist signs, anti-christ signs. These were all the same things done to Bush from the left and they weren't called racist.
I keep hearing about N....signs and so far I haven't seen one.
The last few days I have come across some instances where real racists are trying to infiltrate the Tea parties so I won't say they don't exist. I will say I believe the tea party is less driven by the color of someone's skin than the American population as a whole.

Psst. There's one of those signs in this thread.

Considering how you've bashed the tea party since the beginning I don't think your vote was in error. I think you voted knowing damn good and well what you were doing and are now crawfishing back when evidence is presented that the tea party isn't racist.

Vote error.....gimme a break. Maybe that same vote error put Bobo in the white house to start with! :lamo

I hate the tea party for a large number of reasons, including their disproportionate number of racists, but I do not think that a majority of them are racists.
Oh no. Some guy on the internet doesn't believe me when I say that. Boo hoo.

Hate, huh? See I disagree with Obama on almost everything from fiscal issues, to social and religious issues. I don't care for the personality he portrays either. I wouldn't say I hate him though. I wish him a happy life OUTSIDE of politics.

I don't believe you. You hate him but are attempting to take the moral high ground by saying you don't.
