The Taser is a weapon widely used by American police without much regulation or oversight. Many widely varied 'rights' organizations, from the NAACP ot Amnesty International, have found reason to dislike the Taser and to demand that the Federal Government issue guidelines for its use or ban it outright. extremities for front shots and below the neck area for back shots. The entire body
below the neck is a potential target area, but maximum effectiveness will only be
achieved when the deployment involves large muscle groups.

Ive read the numbers of taser deaths to be estimated as high as 1,081 in 22 years. That sounds like a lot but not so much when compared to the fact that during that same time period tasers have been deployed 6,600,000 times...on average about 300,000 times a year. And this isnt a whole lot different than any other case. The deatsh invariably occur because the suspect is too stupid to comply with the arrest and fights back.
