This is my spin-off of Rightwing Unhinged thread.

Tankies are a special breed of stupid comparable to the most inbred MAGAt. You may have encountered them on DP supporting Russia, China, BRICS, Syria, North Korea, and other so-called 'anti-West' regimes.

Tankies are among the most insufferable and exasperatingly disingenuous and deluded people I have ever had the displeasure of communicating with; at least right wing fascists are unabashed and earnest about supporting autocrats and their evils. These clowns, by contrast, will twist themselves into absolute knots trying to minimize or justify the worst of Putin, Stalin, Mao and Xi, from denying their actions outright (up to and including well documented and ongoing genocides), to excusing it as necessary for the 'greater good' or their hand having been forced by the evil machinations of the West. That is of course, when they're not busily trying to deflect away from the far worse and more egregious sins of their heroes by throwing out tired whataboutisms concerning relatively minor past Western misdeeds.

Unfortunately not even this forum is safe from them.
