Taliban Official Arrested

Pakistani security forces have allegedly captured a leading Taliban official in the southwestern city of Quetta

Taliban sources have also stated that he has indeed been captured.

Mullah Obaidullah Akhund, the captured terrorist, is the third most senior member of the Taliban's 10-member leadership council. Akhund was caught monments after American Vice President Dick Cheney landed in Pakistan.

The head of the Interior Ministry's Crisis Management Unit, retired Brigadier Javed Iqbal Cheema, denied Akhund had been detained when asked by Reuters.
