What are you trying to say, that the US Embassy in Kabul was blowing smoke up the asses of all Americans in Afghanistan?
Go peddle this stuff elsewhere. We're all filled up with crazy here.
Yes, if you don't understand then it's best to move on.

I am going to presume you are being sardonic, Grand Mal, or that we do not treat our allies as though they are our allies (i.e., we mistreat, abuse, exploit and abandon our allies regularly). I do not presume you are going to tell us that the NATO Treaty is dead letter.
NATO is alive and well, the response in Afghanistan proved that. But there has never, to my knowledge, been an example of America coming to the defense of an ally, not even when the whole world was picking sides.

What exactly is your point, sanman? This is no more horrific or atrocious than what is done by other Medieval States like Saudi Arabia, which remains our stolid ally. Are you going to henceforth document every horrible action done by the Taliban and then shake your fist to the sky and curse Biden for pulling our forces out of Afghanistan? Or are you just doing this to snipe at Democrats and liberals in the same immature manner in which some of them have compared conservatives to the Taliban?

What's at issue is not the decision to pull out of Afghanistan, but rather the botched cavalier execution of it so that Afghanistan was handed over to the Taliban, throwing away the lives lost and labor spent in 20 years of war

Oh, like that is it? Some closet conspiracy on the part of the evil Biden administration?
You might be right, best you move on.

The Cancel Culture, deplatforming, rampant censorship, banning, even getting people fired from their jobs, etc are clear signs of the rise of Thought Policing in America.
These are clearly anti-democratic trends.
They latched onto a literal department called 'The Ministry for Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice' rather than than the meaning behind it and the actual transformations taking place and being enforced in American society and culture.

Hasty retreats from disagreements seems to have become the de rigeuer for Democrats.
Cheating and culture wars, and anti-science rhetoric have become the motus operendi of all Republicans. Go ahead - try and trash republicans all you want, and have fun at your next trump super-spreader event.

Also, please stay way from that horse dewormer, my friend. Bleach doesn't work either.

LOL... the "hand over" was predictable as soon as the decision to pull was taken... by TRUMP!

The Afghan government would never last, and the Taliban would always win. You right wingers and Trump fans are in total denial over how Afghanistan works and has worked for 100s of years.

Clans/Tribes are key and the Taliban have been winning the "hearts and minds" of tribal leaders for years, and the Afghanistan government has not. It is one of the reasons the Afghanistan military collapsed so fast... the troops got orders from their tribal leaders to give up and go home. It is also the reason that the Taliban was defeated in the first place in 2001.. there were tribal leaders who were against them, and it will be the same reason that the current Taliban will fail eventually as it cant keep the tribal leaders happy.

But all this does not change the following fact.

It was Trump who negotiated with the Taliban behind the backs of the Afghanistan government. It was Trump that announced the withdrawal of US troops, and it was Trump who is to blame for the Taliban taking over. Blame Biden for a supposed botched evacuation from Afghanistan sure, but that is just a distraction from the real villain in this.. TRUMP!

As with all Fox News heads, you can’t admit or see how the right wing and probably yourself has called for people to be fired, canceled, and censored. The problem with people like you, is you only care about your rights and your own voice being heard.

The Talban understand elections and that a new President can have new policies, but it seems many others don't understand this system. Trump's agreement expired in May and Biden had four months to prepare if he genuinely wanted a pullout., The inadequacies of the Afghan military was well known, which is why they could not be involved in negotiations. despite Biden's assurances that the Taliban would never take over. It was a lie.

Biden was President before during and after this debacle and is 100% responsible. Those who elected him to the highest office, despite his infamous history, are idiots.

There was nothing in place to force Biden out on August 31, except the rules as laid down by the Taliban.

You should point out any censorship by the "right wing" if you want to make a cohesive argument.

How is that a problem, or has the Constitution been negated?

Whether or not the U.S. Constitution has been 'negated' effects a non-American citizen how, in regards to that non-American citizen expressing his/hers view points in a public, multi national chat forum?

The collapse of the America and it's Constitution will affect every free nation in the world, and the Chinese, Russians and the islamists know it. It's only left wing Americans who don't.

Damned good thing that 1/06/2021 insurrection attempt to stomp on the U.S. Constitutional duty to ratify a fair and secure POTUS election failed. Correct? ;)

See above post# 114 The insurrection attempt in which insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt was neutralized...
You've been seriously misinformed. There was no 'insurrection attempt' and Ashli Babbitt was killed for no reason whatsoever. Where do you get your information? You really should be looking to other sources.

If Ashli Babbitt "was killed for no reason whatsoever", why wasn't someone charged with that killing? It appears the FBI disagrees with your unfounded positive claim.

Almost as big of idiots as those backing Trump.

There was no way Afghanistan was going to remain free of the Taliban. The speed of the collapse was surprising, and there should have been better planning. But there was no way for us to leave and ultimately the Taliban to not take over. Everyone thought it would have taken a little longer to do so though.

The Taliban and the other terrorist organizations show the dangers of far-rightwing religious nutjobs.

That would imply she was standing around and got shot by accident, which was not the case. She was first person to make it past a barricaded door as a mob of protesters were trying to break through. From a police perspective, the "fearing for one's life" can easily apply, as it's been made for even less threatening situations than this one.

That's at the core of what the country was going to be post US/NATO presence, and what it would take to eliminate the Taliban was a scaling up of operations in the country, which no one seemed to want. There was a point where the Taliban had lost much of its territorial control, but that was at the height of US involvement and commitment of troops. As I've stated before, the Taliban made the best use of its war of attrition; they understood that foreign powers were not keen on scaling up forces with no guarantee of success. The Taliban had been stripped of power and control of territory, but were able to recover much of what they lost. Had their been an overwhelming rejection of their governance, then perhaps there might have been hope.

What makes you think this was not going to happen? One can certainly critique the miscalculations around the ANSF and the government collapsing, but given the Taliban's control of much of the country, what leverage did the Afghan government have? The previous administration was also on the same track despite the actions of the Taliban, so I'm not sure there was any clear reversal had it been in power still.

It's doubtful any country will ever again consider the USA as a trusted ally.
That’s what I would’ve thought after Saigon too. But daddy America can still borrow enough for battered countries who he wants to abuse for now
