Jimmy Carter infamously declared that America suffered from an “inordinate fear of Communism,” but at least, as far as I can recall, he didn’t actively promote or side with Communist movements. Today Communism has collapsed, and America’s number one enemy is the Muslim Brotherhood, progenitor of al Qaeda, Hamas and other terrorist groups.

Barack Obama not only tolerates the Brotherhood–”Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations”–but, for reasons that remain unfathomable, he has generally supported it.

The Brotherhood is responsible for the violence now raging in Egypt, as Ralph Peters explains:

There was, indeed, a coup. But not all coups involve tanks. The real coup came after Egypt’s premature, badly flawed election, when Morsi and the Brotherhood excluded all non-Brothers from the political process; curtailed media freedoms and jailed journalists; attacked Christians; and rushed toward an Islamist state that the majority of Egyptians did not want.

Today Barack Obama doubled down on his support for the Muslim Brotherhood by canceling joint military exercises with Egypt that were scheduled for next month. Obama gave a brief, petulant press conference before heading out for another round of golf on Martha’s Vineyard:

Isn’t it a pretty good clue that the people who yearn to kill Christians (and Jews) are probably not friends of the United States? I think the average fourth-grader could probably figure this out, but not, apparently, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.

Obama's foreign policy is a shambles. His choices in Secretaries of State both Clinton and Kerry have only added to the incompetency by this president and his administration.

It is better to have a bad gov't that you can negotiate with (or even bribe) than no gov't at all. ;)

True, dat. It certainly sets a low bar for his successor to leap.

It is one of the worst Foreign Policy disasters in our Nations history and no one is mentioning it.

Well, almost no one. It's beyond incompetence, and Obama's decisions in this debacle offers up no other rationale explanation than his full support for a very hostile and violent Islamic orginization that has direct ties with terrorist.

" Democracy " ? Bull sh**. A buzz word for the low information crowd as from the begining Obama knew what the Muslim Brotherhoods intentions were.

I think it's funny that people think there is such an easily solution to this conflict.

NOT TRUE! You mention it all the time ...

So it's your opinion that cancelling joint exercises with yet maintaining the flow of aid towards the military is a statement of full support for the group being arrested for dissent and in many cases gunned down in the streets? How delightfully absurd. Look, the Brotherhood being out of power is an undoubtedly positive change, but the process in which they were ousted and the some of the following violence aimed at MB supporters is simply not defensible. What would you prefer? Unilateral support of a militaristic regime with apparently little concern for public safety? If Obama did in fact support the Brotherhood whole wholeheartedly as you claim, he would have maligned the process in which they were ousted from power and demanded the public's voice be recognized as valid. Your analysis is garbage.

Obama didn't start two vanity wars costing $3T that turned the middle east over to Iranian hegemony.

So compared to Bush he's Winston Churchill.

Meanwhile, the arab world is slowly evolving into democracy and normalcy, a moderate is now president of Iran, North Korea is more isolated than ever, the Israelis and Palestinians are talking again, and the US has regained its honor after years of Bush's failed cowboy diplomacy and torture.

It must suck to be a conservative and watch Obama turn years of failed GOP policy into success.
