BEIRUT, Lebanon — An investigative team with the international group that monitors compliance with the chemical weapons ban accused the Syrian government on Wednesday of having launched three chemical weapons attacks on one village in northern Syria in March 2017, sickening scores of people. The team, established by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, said in a report that in the span of one week, Syrian fighter jets had twice dropped bombs containing sarin nerve agent on the village and a helicopter had targeted its hospital with a cylinder containing chlorine.

On March 24, the team found, a Syrian fighter jet dropped a bomb carrying sarin on the village, sickening 16 people. The next day, a Syrian military helicopter dropped a cylinder containing chlorine on the village’s hospital, which crashed through the roof, released its noxious fumes and sickened 30 people. On March 30, a Syrian fighter jet dropped another bomb on the village containing sarin, sickening at least 60 people. Sarin is a banned nerve agent, and its use is considered a war crime. While chlorine has legal uses in industry and cleaning, its use as a chemical weapon also is considered a war crime.

Why would he do that? He is winning a war, it makes no fucking sense

Why would he do that? He is winning a war, it makes no fucking sense

Because he’s a psychopath and wants to kill as many civilians who oppose him as he can.

Dropping barrel bombs on peaceful protests made no sense, and yet....he did it.

The only way you can win a war is to completely annihilate the other side.

Tell me why this would make sense

I want you to go in to Idlib and chemically bomb people to turn every nation on Earth against us even though we control 70% of syria and even more of its population and has won a deadly war.

Really

How is assad a psychopath, he seems quite nice with his people

Not all of them.

really, so they did some chemical attacks but not the ones where they were losing in Ghouta(2017) and Idlib(2019)

Why is it a coincidence that the rebels do these attacks when they are losing?

That's terrible.

and to think they are only allowed to do it two times a week.

On the course of the Syrian Civil War, the city fell into rebel forces in 2012 and was recaptured by the Syrian Army in 2020.

ok, when did these chemical attacks happen, according to the op it happened this week

If you cant understand it I have no hope for you.

The link contains information about Syrian government attacks AND Syrian opposition attacks.

Citations, the only logical sense is the Rebels doing it, assad was WINNING

Assad being Assad.

Russia had his back.

And some of the delivery devices were SYRIAN ARMY only.

no citations or answering my question, assad being assad is not an argument
