Sam Fox, notable Bush supporter, and one of the major funders of the Swiftboaters, was nominated by Bush to be our next ambassador to Belgium. This gave Senator John Kerry a chance to put him on the spot, and that he did. He got Fox to tell him, during the confirmation process, that "you're a hero".

Quite a notable flip-flop, if you ask me. :lol:

Much as I dislike the policies, if not the personality of President Cheney (Yes I do know he is the VP).
The thought of having an even worse President such as I believe Kerry would have been, at that time filled me with a sense of dread.
Better the idiot you know than the idiot you suspect.
