Three men, including two migrants from Afghanistan, have been arrested over the alleged three-hour gang rape of a woman in Uppsala, Sweden, that was broadcast on Facebook Live.
When police arrived, they found three men, including two, aged 18 and 20, who are both from Afghanistan, and a third man, aged, 24, who is a Swedish citizen, according to a Swedish newspaper.

They also waved a gun around while taking turns brutalizing their victim, who is reported as being native Swedish, to the surprise of no one.
The only positive I can see here, is that at least people can't utter the tired argument of 'it's not happening', or 'don't believe your own eyes'.

Read "claim to be from Afghanistan". It now seems clear that they are Iranians. 'Asylum seekers' commonly lie about their countries of origin - and their names and their dates of birth.
The sordid event occurred about 10 miles away from where I am now.

I've heard the same about migrants in Germany. There's no accurate way to identify these people if they aren't on some government watch list. There's virtually no way to know who is actually in Sweden or Germany until they commit these crimes.
Few thoughts.
It's a vile incident
I can't find anything positive about it.
Why would this deemed more newsworthy than rapes committed in Sweden by non immigrants?
Yes. In Germany migrants have been claiming asylum in up to six different cities under different names. Recently a woman working for the German Federal LAB - the reception agency - in Lower Saxony for arriving 'asylum seekers' detected such a scam. When her supervisor refused to report the fraud to the police she did it herself. She was immediately sacked for revealing a truth inconvenient to the German government.
Some migrants work the scam across borders. Like a recent case where one, employed and living in the Netherlands, was going to Germany once a month to pick up his benefits as 'asylum seeker'.
That doesn’t justify anyone making a bigger issue out of crimes committed by people of different nationalities, races or religions than they do those by people (perceived as) like them. It does demonstrate how foreigners have a lot more in common with us than many would like to acknowledge. Are you familiar with Joran Van Der Sloot? He is a Dutch man who killed a woman in Peru and Aruba. Peruvians were very interested in this case, even though Peruvians kill other Peruvians as well. The Van Der Sloot case ran on front page headlines in Peru for months:
I think people are fascinated by these crimes committed by foreigners because we expect them to respect our laws and not abuse the citizens who are welcoming them into their country.
The tragedy that unfolded recently in your country involving a Greek immigrant further illustrates this.
Fascinated when it's Muslims, yes.
I assume you are referring to James Gargasoulas. The guy who deliberately drove a vehicle into Bourke Street Shopping mall a week ago (one of the main streets of Melbourne's Central Business District), killing 5, injuring at least 30 and 5 are still critical? That asshole?
You kinda just made my point for me. There's no threads on DP relating to him, he wasn't a Muslim. If he was it would be headlining over in the BN Forums.
I considered starting a thread about Gargasoulos, and decided not to because I specifically thought of you, and your dislike for these kinds of threads.
Idk, maybe I should have done a thread about it. Who knows.
Liked your post because I believe you are being genuine. Perhaps I can clarify that for you. I've never had an issue with someone starting a thread discussing a tragic incident unless it's been an obvious attempt to exploit the victims to push an agenda. Classic example would be those who use victims to push a pro or anti gun control stance and those who post Islamic State propaganda of extremists parading soon to be victims of their heinous actions around in orange suits. Generally done by those who don't give a rats ass about the victims, it's just an attempt to push their anti muslim agenda. I maintain they don't really give a crap because it's evident by their stance on refugees fleeing war zones. They want nothing to do with people fleeing militants.
Just a couple of examples.
