After 12 months of independent assessment of all available evidence, the seven-person China Tribunal panel – which was initiated by the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC), an international human rights charity – delivered its final findings in June. The tribunal, chaired by Sir Geoffrey Nice QC who led the prosecution of Slobodan Milosevic in the International Criminal Trial for the former Yugoslavia, stated with “certainty” that “in China, forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience has been practiced for a substantial period of time.”

“Forced organ harvesting has been committed for years, and Falun Gong practitioners have been one – and probably the main – source of organ supply,” the report concluded, pointing to the growing transplant industry already worth more than $1 billion.

The report underscored that there were “extraordinarily short waiting times for organs to be available for transplantation,” and numerous websites advertised hearts, lungs, and kidneys for sale – suggesting an on-demand industry. The Tribunal concluded that the commission of Crimes Against Humanity against Falun Gong and Uighurs had been committed.

Witness testimonies provided to the tribunal, and interviewed by Fox News, paint the picture of an unfathomably callous trade often performed when the victims are still alive.

Americans and the world need to be made more aware of the brazen, callous, atrocious, and rampant human rights violations happening in China at the hands of the ruling communist party. It has been known that China has been forcibly harvesting human organs, sometimes from live individuals, for some time now. However, little is done to confront China on such human rights abuses. The Chinese government are akin to the modern day Nazis of our time and are committing many of the same crimes against humanity that the Nazis did. From forced organ harvesting to placing minorities in concentration camps where they are raped, tortured, and "re-educated" to fit in line with the demands of the communist party are just a fraction of the egregious human rights violations committed by the Chinese government. Trump is a fool to not include human rights demands in his trade deal negotiations. We must not be complicit in empowering the Chinese government through trade while they use their increasing wealth and power to operate in ways that completely violate basic human rights and any sense of human decency in terms of how they govern.

I strongly believe we should divorce our economy from China, even if it's painful, and initiate a new cold war against China until it's too late and this evil authoritarian regime gains enough strength to pose even more of a threat to world peace than it already does currently with their threats to annex Taiwan by military force or the capture of the entirety of the South China Sea and territories rightly belonging to other countries like the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, etc. At some point if China stays on its current path I believe a major military conflict will be the result. We have no moral leg to stand on in terms of advancing human rights when many international companies and governments stay mum on such blatant human rights violations in order to gain access to the growing Chinese market and appease their government in order to make a buck.

I'm not shocked at all.

I really don't know why U.S. business ever went there. Wait, they were lured with money...oh yes...Americans are so great digsbe. Wave some money in front of their face and they will move millions of manufacturing jobs, the industry knowledge, most future R&D related to it, and complete control of the company it's IP, to China....all for some $$.

But tell me more how the Republican party is the party that will make the hard choice to slow our economy to make this happen for moral reasons...that's Democrats buddy, time to change parties if this is a moral outrage, right?
It won't be Trump/Republicans that allow government to take the lead in AI development, this era's version of the space race...it will be Democrats willing to make that investment in the U.S.
Republicans will invest in the wealthy, and no way will restrict trade/business going to China.

Warren 2020 might get you closer.

What do people think the next big "age" will be? It's big-data (now) then on to AI. Not many other places it can go. AI done correctly, leaning on big-data, will be yet another leap forward in technology.

Republicans USE to be capable of handling this, alongside Democrats, but where have all the good ones gone? I remember in history learning about how when the U.S. decided to join in WWII, we went out and hired the best and brightest from universities to make it happen. Operations specialists, logistics, mathematics, etc....and they built in short order, a world class military machine that once ramped up, became the dominate military for decades to come.
Problem is, people don't feel that threat...too many fat cast pulling strings in Washington...you know the types, billionaires who are always out to make a buck, cut taxes, etc.

No, if we approached AI even at 5% the level we invest in our military...hiring the best and brightest and setting our sights not to he stars, but to strong AI...well, that would be something.
Ever think all these economic, education, health, etc., problems are too complex for humanity to easily solve? That's what AI is for. Run those simulations until it's got a workable to-humans solution.

Worried about jobs? Just set the AI to figuring out the solution.

Won't be in my lifetime, a pity.

Some factual issues. Geoffrey Nice never led the prosecution of Slobodan Milosevic. He was not even a senior prosecutor in the war crimes tribunals. The other issue is that Falun Gong is not a credible organization.

That's not to say that China is innocent - they certainly have serious human rights violations going on. But the facts and real evidence have not shown Falun Gong's claims of organ harvesting to be valid.
