Jobs related to gun industry increased 73% since Obama took office!

Jobs related to the manufacturing and sale of guns increased 73% since 2008 to a nationwide total of 287,986, the National Shooting Sports Foundation revealed.

“These are good jobs, paying an average of $50,180 in wages and benefits, and today every job is important,” the foundation reported. “Not only does the manufacture and sale of firearms and hunting supplies create good jobs in the United States but the industry also contributes to the economy as a whole.”

“In fact, in 2015 the firearms and ammunition industry was responsible for as much as $49.29 billion in total economic activity in the country.”

No doubt. My business alone has seen at least a 50% increase since last October. And it started really picking up '08, about 5 months before obama was elected. So over the last 8 years ....about a 70% increase. And I am only one of thousands, in the US.

There are so many people applying for Concealed Handgun permits, the S.O. is backed up 6 months for an appointment.

Two buddies and i went to a gun show sat, one had to take CCW class, there were 26 people in the class and the instructor told them thats a light class, they have a 10 am and 1pm class both days and everyday the show runs elsewhere.

If this is true (and i say that because it's Infowars), it would be ironic writ large!

Obama and the Left in general hates the gun industry....so they try to squash gun rights and destroy the gun industry....only to cause people to buy more guns, which in turn props up the gun industry economically.

Take note, the story is from The National Shooting Sports Foundation, Info Wars merely published it for the masses.

With the anti-gun pukes, looking to put high taxes on gun and ammo purchases, many people are very concerned and are buying guns and ammo in huge quantities and at unprecedented rates.

Some folks have stocked up with a lot more than they could ever use, so that they might share with family and friends, in the future. Since I was in college, I realized that for those folks who wanted to be well armed and stockpiled ammo, it has always been a no brainer.

The people who surprise me are the college educated singles and couples, who are just now getting it.

But then again....the massive liberal indoctrination of our youth, is right there in plain sight.

how long is a CCW class in Florida? In Ohio (when I took it) 12 hours, and you had to have additional training after 6 years but now its 8 hours with no continuing "education"

a local store that mainly caters to shotgun competition shooters (lots of 2-4K Beretta, Browning and CG target shotguns) relocated and as part of their opening week had 5000 bricks of 325 rounds of Federal "auto match" 22s and another 400 or so bricks of Browning branded (Winchester made) 400 cartridge 22 bricks. sold for a few bucks less than the other big independent gun dealers in the area were selling them for. First day last tuesday-by thursday (with a limit of 4 bricks of Federal) they had sold all 5000 bricks, by saturday all the browning ammo was gone. My wife and her big F3 truck helped them make the move and they gave me a chance of buying a case of the federals which I did plus I bought four bricks of the browning. but even with 22s being fairly easy to get at big independent stores (the Walmart employees are still scalping 22s there),5500 bricks or so going in a few days shows how many people are shooters these days.

Not even close in fla, its 2.5 hours at the gunshow and thats the longest one I know of, most ccw class' done by gun dealers is an hour.

Outstanding. I haven't seen any at Walmart here, for over a year. When they do come in, usually in small quantities, they are put up between 7 and 9 am and gone by the time I get there.

That's about standard.
Here in Oregon, the law says..."some instruction is needed" .......and that is obviously vague and no shooting is required. If I was derelict in my duties, I could go over the safety rules with them in 10 minutes and that would satisfy the law.
But, there are 6 states, who allow concealed carry without a permit of any kind. You merely have to be a citizen of that state.

Here you are supposed too shoot a 22 into a water tank, most do not do it. At the gun show class they do.

My clients have to shoot a box of ammo on several targets, kneeling, prone, standing, sitting.... from 2 feet to 10 yards. This simulates the avg. distance from an attacker and in positions they may find themselves in.
More advanced classes are offered, with a lot more shooting and the use of other props. I start new shooters off with a .22, until they have confidence in what they are doing.

do you do force on force training using simunitions or paint guns? House clearing drills?

Yep.....everything I taught to law enforcement officers, I teach to good citizens. I run background checks on all of them and reject any who don't pass one.

When I was on the job during the LA Riots and Oakland riots, I came across dozens of active shooters.

Hopefully few of them are still above room temperature

Many assumed room temp on the spot, some days later. Some even by their own homies, accidentally .....that was the highlight of my time spent there.
